people need to forget about metallica. They came out with a few thrash albums and then cut their hair, painted their nails black and turned to alternative rock to "fit" in. There are numerous amounts of awesome thrash bands (new and old) that have stayed true to their, if not experimented a bit and then returned. I'll name a few old and new ones.....Overkill, Kreator, Exodus, Evile, Suicidal Angels, Hirax, etc.

Awesome band, can't get enough of that Marshall sound. Saw them in 85 with Megadeth and Exodus as the opening acts. They were all out in the parking lot hanging out and signing autographs. I still remember Dave Mustaine was in the parking lot looking for someone to take him to the liquor store but he looked pretty smashed already!
