I am not from America but come from a country which is considered to have one of the best healthcare systems in the world, which is why I am surprised by the animosity that Obama is facing for trying to implement his new healthcare plan. All he wants is to provide good healthcare access to all Americans. If you are patriotic, surely you should be behind obamacare with it's emphasis on equality? I don't understand the mindset of the opposition.

@Giua1973 I'm surprised business have to put up with any requirements to offer their employees anything. Benefits are just an incentive to work at a business/warehouse/company etc. etc. Benefits should not be a requirement. As far as the healthcare bill, there was no real reform because or highly unintelligent leaders never address real medical costs or how to make rates much more reasonable based on what an individual earns. Insurance coverage was never the answer to solving the issue.

Poor people automatically qualify for medicaid, people with state or gov. jobs have healthcare packages, almost all jobs now have health and dental policies. Those of " us" who don't have health insurance do not exist. If your job does not have a health plan, you can get medicaid.!!!!!!!!

To qualify for Medicaid, you must be "truly indigent" (words used by Ronald Raegan when he changed the law). You have to be dirt poor to get medicaid. It is true that very ill children may get it .I work as a RN and I see it all the time. btw, less and less companies are offering good ins policies. people really need to understand why healthcare is a problem. It has to do with costs. Costs have risen dramatically over the last couple decades. That is the sole problem with our system. Now if you understand why costs have gone up than you will come to the conclusion it is government intervention that has ran costs throught the roof. So why would we want to give them more control. S.S. medicaid and medicare are bankrupt. Only thing that can bring costs down is competition not gov intervention

I can't tell anyone who they should believe. What I see is policies that seem designed to wreck the economy. I hear the administration telling us that everything must be passed because there is a crisis. Now I constantly hear the admin along with most of the media trying to discredit or misreport any dissent. There is something going on but I'm not sure where it's going. I don't think it ends well. Look to history, check the past of admin members and if someone says don't listen, ignore them.
