@thedonraja Tests show that the XL's processor is actually remarkably faster than the XE's.

Why? Well mostly because 90% of all apps run on a single core so mostly the 2nd core's on phones rarely do much work. Also because the processor simply has been upgraded with new technology.

Last but not least, a big difference is that even though the battery has 150 less mAh the battery life is superior on the XL compared to the XE.
