  • I'll sue me if you want but I'll always love

    OHHHHHH!!!!

    So Sweet

  • George and Paul used to hitchhike around Britain.

Cool postcard in new book about George (by Olivia.)

  • Check out that 80's hair Ringo!

  • ringo is so funny! shd have been a comedian

  • I imagine in the days with just the three Beatles, Paul felt a little left out of the friendship between George and Ringo. Paul didn't have his best mate John around like in the Beatle days and when it was the three of them, Paul seems to be like the third wheel.

  • I'm so amazed by how sharp and witty they always are. Ringo has to be on something..

  • "Iron me shirts"

  • George: "But Actually I Love Paul, He's My Mate, And It Dosen't Matter What They Say In The Papers!" ♥:DD

  • Ringo was pissed out of his nut in these years!

  • GEORGE SUING RINGO ? UNREAL

  • could ringo be on the nose bag? He's a bit yappy.

  • Damn, Ringo's talking like he just snorned a little coke.

  • Pete best forever, Ringo never! Ringo is the luckiest man alive!

  • Ringo has no patience for George's stories lol

  • wow George sued Ringo for a mixed tape... well Paul made a couple if thousands if dollars from sueing the rest of the Beatles. it makes me sad because Paul and George didn't talk for a while...

  • @Binca954 I agree because paul kinda got george in the band and all the beatles seemed like best friends and it IS sad to here that they didnt talk for a long time.

  • this might be the only video i've ever seen where one of them is smoking and george isn't ... did he quit in the '80s? he was such a chain smoker during the '60s.

  • @1982pencil He did quit smoking in the 1980s.

  • "Shocked and stunned" George quoting The Rutles!

  • Ringo looks so much younger than george!

  • WHO'S THE ONE PERSON THAT HATED THIS VIDEO?

SHOW URSELF AND I WILL KILL U!!

  • @migi367 You can rest assured knowing that the only reason someone would've disliked this is because of the lag between the audio and video. And know, I did not dislike this.

  • @migi367 I do believe it was Pete best or that Justin beiber chick.

  • Ringo totally seems high and/or slightly drunk.

  • @brokeutopian yeah he had a drinking problem around this time.

  • "Sue me if you want, but, I'll always love ya."

Naww, now this is why I love Ringo.

He was such a beautiful soul, and still is from what I can gather!

"I'm an insomniac mainly; when I'm not an insomniac, I sleep."

Gosh I love these two so much <3

    Oh, LOL.

  • Ha! Ringo is hilarious!

  • Ringo is so SO FUNNY! ..why hasn't he ever thought of being a chat show host?

  • @madintodogs and always veiwing George as a kid, also George was pissed with Yoko's presence, Ringo was pissed at Paul's controlling nature and just viewing him as "Ringo our funny Drummer" and he was pissed at John for Yoko's presence and John only viewing him as (like Paul) "Ringo our funny Drummer"

  • @madintodogs yeah that was the only real falling out the two of them had...basiclly It was John and Paul who everybody had a problem with.....John was pissed at Paul because of his controlling nature and his constant jabs at Yoko, Paul was pissed at John because of business differnces and his association with Yoko, George was pissed at Paul because of business differences and Paul's controlling nature, George was pissed at John because of years of John looking down on him and holding him back

  • Why it's out of sync??

  • Comment removed

  • is ringo on something in this?

  • Ringo and his invisible foot-pedals, rofl.

  • how could george not have known paul for the last ten or 12 years if they split in 1970 and this is 88 ?

  • @DerekKnox1 you can fit 12 into 18

  • @itkapatanka i made that comment a while ago and don't even know what i meant now haha.. perhaps i meant that he actually hasnt known paul for 18 years, but i couldnt possibly know that haha.. oh well.

  • @DerekKnox1 Paul never had much to do with George- he's implying he didnt really' know' him because they rarely had a conversation and Paul usually ignored everyone but John

  • @DerekKnox1 they worked separately, even in studio they would record their parts to songs separately and have 1 Beatle or George Martin put all the tapes together into one song.

  • George has never lost his accent ever!

  • 5:40 "...but you're not the first one..." Ringo

  • Does anyone hear what Ringo says at around 5:40 when George is talking about meeting up with Yoko? I can't quite understand it.

  • @JoviSoul27

He says something like, "Yeah, not the first time"

But that's about all I can make out, if that much is even clear :p

  • 'Sue me if you want but I'll always love you' XD

  • Had this been John talking about Ringo, he probably would have said the same thing.

  • "it doesn't matter what they say in the papers".. <3

  • Comment removed

  • i wish this was in sync

  • "He was tired of beans!" god, George, why don't you just call him out...that's hilarious

When he was asking how they and Paul get on, when it cut to George, he was looking away like he didn't have anything to do with it, i half expected him to start whistling

  • Ringo ended up going to rehab the year of this interview right?

  • they did mend the rift lennons last phone call was funny and nice to paul. paul loved george as they were friends before beatles and ringo is just ringo its a love hate thing. oh and johns killer should get the chair he cant win either way life in prison or if he released he be killed by fans

  • You don't remember anything, do you?

    haha

  • okay,

my twoo favorite beatles on the same videoo (:

i loove themm all, and im so sad that john and george are gooone.

and i don't think ringoo had had anything, that was probly just the way he was, a dorrk and a joker.

  • Why did the beatles fight pauyak? Simple answer: you get that many creative and opinionated geniuses together, they're going to fight. You can have fights with your friends, and no one cares, its just they were the beatles and their disagreements were broadcast to the world.

It is sad that the beatles broke up, but it lead the way to even more amazing music.

  • Is Johns killer famous?

  • He certainly was for a few months after killing John. He was all over the press for a while. Then he spent his years in prison and everybody forgot about him. He reappeared for a while when he finished his sentence, and now Who knows where he is ? Is he dead ? I0'm not sure really...

  • Pretty sure he's still in jail. He'd be killed if he was released

  • Actually you're right. He was given a 20 yr sentence in 1980 and has been denied parole 5 times since 2000 also because of opposition from Yoko Ono. He will probably spend the rest of his life in prison. Next time he can claim aprole will be mid-2010.

  • @zappalives he just asked for parole again this year 2010- and of course was denied again "for his own safety"

  • Whta does Ringo say at 5:39 ?

  • 3:12

you couldnt do that NOW! lol.

he just pulls it out, and nobody seems to care ;)

  • the beatles were great... but why all the fighting and quarelling between each other when the group stopped? they should have remained closest buddies till the end

  • @pauyak Paul picked one of Linda's relatives to manage Beatles money Without asking the other 3 who wanted someone not biased.. also a bit earlier George and Ringo left for a few days during different time periods cuz of how Paul treated them & Yoko being allowed wasn't fair. Paul sued the other 3 to leave the Beatles, John got mad about that, George sued for money. John&George stayed friends, Ringo was everyone's friend. Paul only remained friends with Ringo, but only years later and now

  • "Well you've certainly brought the party down, Michael" haa! Ringo is hilarious and confident, this is why the Beatles worked, George has this hugely funny and warm side and Ringo just bounces and plays off him so well, like Albert and Costello, great.

  • i love the way they can always be light hearted.I am STILL sad about john though.oh, and to the 'annoyingly old' person, whats your problem with ringo?i doubt you'd be as cool as he is EVER

  • Did you notice George's shout-out to the Rutles? "Shocked and stunned". That's what they said repeatedly when their manager was gone - to Australia!

  • i never noticed until you pointed that out lol :P i love the rutles george was in it :D lol :)

  • it's nice to see these two together. i love the fact that this is just a glimpse into how much all four of them loved each other

  • what do you mean by "annoying old"???

  • I know, what was that about, he is aroud 70 now and he's still not old yet !

  • When George said he'd had a great time with Yoko in New York, what did Ringo say? It sounded like, 'You wouldn't be the first one....'. That's one hell of a sense of humour from Ringo if he did!!

  • i remember when i think it was george had an interview once on this show and when george sat in his chair the interviewer said "Yoko sat that once" and george just jumped out of the seat lol

  • That's the Dick Cavett interview. Its on here as well and its great isn't it? lol

  • I Love Ringo, he makes me laugh!!!!!!!!

  • this is so sweet!!!!!!!Thank you for posting!!!

  • what did ringo say at 5:39?

  • <33 Ringo is sooooo cool drauf <33

  • it didn't seem like Yoko and George hated each other so much after the break-up.. I mean, right after that, they were all recoprding "Oh My LOve" tgether

  • ringo is so funnY! i love the beatles!

    rip john&george

    <3

  • Great video. Ringo is still very funny as he was in NY this last weekend, everyone was laughing at his humor. Ringos all star band is the best show out there.

  • hahahha i love them!

  • I love Ringo he is so funny

    Peace&Love everyone

  • when i'm not an insomniac i sleep

  • George always comes off as soo down to earth in his own interviews - it's nice to see Ringo exposing him some. Apparently, he could be just as ridiculous as the rest of them. :D

  • John,Paul,George,Ringo,Neil Aspinall,Brian Epstein,and George Martin are The Beatles

  • Yes, that's really the sum of the Beatles. With added sprinkles of Klaus Voorman.

  • agreed...but I have to include Mal Evans with Neil

  • What about Billy Preston???

  • Ringo IS the Beatles : a no bull-shit drummer. So under-rated....

  • @haldenver hahahahaaha. Hillarity. He was boring. John, George and Paul were The Beatles.

  • what did Ringo say while George was talking about Yoko around 5:42?

  • George says "I had a great time with Yoko in New York" and I think Ringo retorts under his breath with "You know you're not the first one, don't you?". A few seconds later when George says "It was nice to meet her" I think ringo says "Just couldn't get off you know!".

  • LOL that's awesome.. thanks so much

  • You know, I like this interviewer more than the others, he asks better questions, plus he's clever and witty.

George and Ringo look FAB here!!

  • Ringo was a drinking mate of Keith Moon, until his death in 1978. His friendship with Harrison seemed his most important, during the Beatles, After he had mostly the support of his collegues, like Moon, so cut Ringo some slack.

  • Oh, we all are fond of both Beatles. We're just so fond we like talking about them too. (Sigh) Us Beatle fans belong in the days of black photography. I would call myself as an investigator and it would be easier to investigate the Beatles from there.

  • George is a little uncomfortable, but that's because he knows Ringo well, and he knows when he's drunk. This isn't the same sweet Ringo from the early days, and it's not the Ringo we see today.

But he was a hilarious drunk...

  • Yeah Ringo had had a few before this show...

  • Both are great. George wasn't uncomfortable around Ringo, and Ringo wasn't being rude to George. This is how they were with each other. George was the quiet one. Ringo was the funny one. I mean, if you had the other 2 Beatles there, it would have been a ruckus.

  • Ringo really *was* a drunk at this time. He went into rehab not long after this. By the end of the next year in 1989, he announced being clean and sober which he has been ever since. Of course George loved Ringo, but I see him blushing and looking at the camera shaking his head as if to say "What's this crazy man talking about?"

  • "When I'm not an insomniac, I sleep." :)

  • i wonder wat the movie yoko made of john was

  • that u so much for putting all of these up. fantastic

  • RINGO RINGO RINGO

    your single single single

u make us jingle jingle jingle

    coz ur teh best!!!!!!!!1

  • My thanks for posting this interview series. I have not seen these before and they are just wonderful. George is dour and understated; Ringo is ebullient and funny. Just amazing to watch!

  • Dour? I prefer to describe him as polite and a gentleman. (Unlike his little buddy. . .)

  • Does anyone have a transcript of this? Because very occasionally I can't hear what they're saying.

  • Ringo overacted a bit but he's still funny.

  • Anyone else notice (and think it's really kinda cute) that George looks right into the camera when he wants to defend himself or seems a tad embarrased? :)

  • Ringo was drunk and shooting off his mouth. George was not pleased. There were some moments in that interview where George looked uncomfortable while Ringo was speaking.

  • And well ... Committing any mistakes ...

  • i agree he is a bit overbearing here.

  • manager in the rutles was Leggy! Not stiggy.

  • Ringo lights up right during the interview. That's so awesome. Could you imagine if he did that on Leno today?

  • I'm with ya, Ringo is so funny and into it here!

  • ringo was on johnathan ross a couple of nights ago and was absolutely hilarious he certainly doesn't lose his humour over the years

  • I meant it was awesome that he lit up a cigarette.

  • oh soz i didn't read your comment lol

  • "Shocked and stunned" was a line from comedy "The Rutles" which George had a small part in. -It was where they spoofed the death of Brian Epstein/ in The Rutles...their manager "Stiggy"

died. The groups reaction was "shocked and stunned".

  • Leggy Mountbatten was the "Brian" and "Stig O'Hara" was the "George".

  • what did ringo say when george was talking and made everyone laugh at 5:38?

  • George says "I had a great time with Yoko in New York" and I think Ringo retorts under his breath with "You know you're not the first one, don't you?". A few seconds later when George says "It was nice to meet her" I think ringo says "Just couldn't get off you know!".

  • i really *do* agree, i think Ringo was a bit knackered LOL ;p oh well but he is so funny

  • RIngo is SO funny!- although i did find it a big rude that he lit a ciggie in the middle of an interview..

  • Back when, nonody thought too much of such a thing. People regularly smoke on TV interviews. That started to change around the time of this interview, but it was still not uncommon as witnessed here.

    -- Matt

  • yeah i know

  • Yeah, but it wasn't all that uncommon for people to smoke in interviews back then. Ringo was in the final year or two of his smoking and drinking phase.

  • yeah.. I know--still doesnt look too nice..thank god he's stopped

  • Yeah, somehow he made it this long. He pretty much was a heavy boozer and smoker almost right to the time he turned 50.
