PC Platinum pipe and silencer, ported, polished, cylinder and head was milled, rad valve, 39mm air striker carb. Port matching. Milling the cylinder base lowers the ports so they open quicker ;) I cant wait to through the motor back in 5 days and counting lol A buddy had the same bike and did the same modz a couple yrs ago. Says the power band hits like a light switch. Says its going to be a lot harder to ride, but once you get used to it, you'll LOVE it.

Ive never ridden any other 250 2 stroke besides my own so I cant compare it, but the cr seems to have a pretty torquey bottom end. It also has a nice powerband but it starts to sign off sooner than our average 125 pinger

@ mxhonda2, that bike (I own the same one) does sign off a bit early, BUT it takes so well to mods and will scream like a bat outta hell once you get them.

hey bro. im getting a 2002 cr250 and i herd they have no power or something? like the exhaust sucks in too much air and they wanna quit running at low RPMs? Is this true?

well who every says they have no power is very dumb.... that thing will scare you to death if you pin it... We ride in the mountains and right now until I get a heavier fly weight it always wants to load up. besides that its and awesome bike for either trails or track.

the cr 250 has plenty of power. Its the cr 125 that doesnt have alot of power.

not that it dosent have alot of power, but you have to use all the power it has.

it has a bad power band also. the cr 125 doesnt have quit as much power as the other 125's. that little bit of less power becomes alot more noticeable when you start riding with 250f's

i had a 97 cr 125 with a wiseco high compression piston. it made alot of difference. more power than any other 125 ive had.

thats pretty tight. how much did that cost you? do you just have to buy a piston? or is it a complete kit?

the piston/rings was around 200 and i had extra gaskets.
