Despite the way things look and work as shown in this video, fire fighting still remains constant. You still get your ass to the fire, pull hose, and put water on the fire. Things are just a bit more organized now :P
COOL VIDEO!! Looks like an old Dodge Power Wagon, another Dodge and a Divco. Don't know what the 1st truck and car are though. We still have our 1st engine, a 54 Dodge model R with a Hemi and 7500 origninal miles. Looks like they needed to practice opening the doors!
Loved the video; reminds me of the town where I used to live; the FD always got there in time to save the lot. In t his case, it appeared they got the call too late to do much.
WOW! was that the siren hanging after the truck ran into the garage door?
This is some awe striking 8mm vintage film!

Gee, poor OSHA would fall over dead watching this, along with all of the newbies!!
Wow, no gear, no SCBA, NO MOTOROLA PAGERS and no RADIOS!!
My, my, how did they survive???
Oh, they were real Firefighters not a Catalog Wanna wish I was!!!

Ah yeah... back when your risk started when you left the firehouse, riding on the outside. The good old days.

Really liked this one. The Divco rescue truck is terrific. Would like to see more of that rig.
