Being a fan of someone doesn't mean that everything he does is amazing. This was by far his worst idol performance, because everything he did previous to this was amazing, but not this. Still is not that bad but it is not his usual level.

Sorry this performance was bad.... He was almost at the same note the whole performance and it got really boring. It was at amateur standard and he needs to learn how to climax a performance and how to build up to the climax. I noticed that most of his performances lack originality too and he just copies the style from the respective original singers.

To those saying he didn't pull this cover off, live no he didn't he was putting on a show and connecting with the audience rather than hit the high notes, but listen to the studio version of his cover, it kicks ass. I'm a 30stm fan and I say he did great on the studio cover. He should've not moved too much and focus on the notes cause James has talent

Jared cant hold a candle to James and I'm sure Jared knows it, Sheryl knows it, everybody know is it. I will admit he was more interested in putting on a show and connecting to the fans than hitting all the notes in this performance but compared to Jared's live version or listen to the Studio version and you'll see what I mean.
