Hi, just wanted to let you know that I followed this recipe and my hubby and kids raved about it. I did the crisping skin step at the end and it really was fantastic. My gravy was so good using the juices as well. Thanks for posting everything that you do.
This is an AMAZING recipe!! I am a crock pot cook..I use it at LEAST twice a week..and we are raing our own chickens..and we freeze them whole!! WONDERFUL..I may try it with that tough old rooster tomorrow!
In California the whole chickens come with the giblets wrapped in paper inside of the carcass. I'm assuming you need to clean and prepare your chicken prior to freezing?
@ktaksa i clean it with cold water, and pull the innards out. then cook it. Try not to handle to much, or defrost it under the water. Just a quick rinse, pull the stuff out, and put the chicken in cooker
