  • 4:54 - 4:59 Was that really necessary?

  • @gentleben1624 Lol I was scrolling down and reading the comments and right as I read your comment the guy in the movie said it too.

  • 156 pitches? lol

  • The BEST scene of the whole movie ... sometimes the greatest miracle of all is just beleiving in yourself :-) I love this movie!

  • This is a quota, "The precise definition of the ball being dead is a bit confusing, but for the purposes of your question, the ball is dead between pitches, and you can absolutely replace pitchers during an at bat. It's not done that often though." What is more unlikely is to allow any pitcher to get to over 150 pitches.

  • 4:51 That is Carney Lansford, a former MLB player and the current hitting coach of the Colorado Rockies.

  • lol at 7:09 "I gotta take him out".

Once he starts pitching to the batter you can't do that. He has to stay in until the next. I still love this movie to death and I'm a Rangers fan (for those who don't know, the Rangers and Angels hate eachother).

  • they wouldn't put that last hitter's stupid nickname on the scoreboard at the angel's home field. just saying

  • Gah chewing' tobacco is so nasty...

  • you don't see Mel pitch because it's the American league. Pitchers don't bat in the AL.

  • 156 pitches?! jesus christ!!!!!!

  • Kesey must be spitting Skoal.....

  • How come we never saw Mel Clark Bat if he was pitching the whole game.

  • @XXDodgerSoxxXX86 it's the american league. pitchers don't bat in the american league.

  • Isn't Roger played by Danny Glover

  • @GreysonChanceRocks22 no the manager is played by danny glover

  • @GreysonChanceRocks22 If you are talking Roger Murtaugh from Lethal Weapon, yes.

  • and also I know I didn't put it in but heres something to the ending of the movie George Knox will bring home Roger and JP and try to be a good father.

  • and also I know I didn't put it in but heres something to the ending of the movie George Knowx will bring home Roger and JP and try to be a good father

  • Since this is my first time watching this movie but here is how I think thr movie will end

At the end the angels will win the last game of the season and Roger and JP or just Roger will have a foater family to go to

  • LMAO, "his arm has to be tired, he's thrown 156 pitches"

  • keezy supposed to be like frank thomas?

  • hahaha hes playing with a tonka truck in the background at 5:07 :) haha

  • 4:55 ....gross.

  • Angels first basemen = Jose Offerman

  • go angles!!!

  • Lol! I just noticed Bass at 5:03 in the background playing with the tonka truck!!!

  • 156 pitches? is that even possible?

  • @dabul3169 yes if its a playoff game or a must win last game of the season type game like the movie depicted

  • @dabul3169 Edwin Jackson threw a 149 pitch no hitter last season, so yes it's possible, your arm would feel like dead rubber for a week afterwards but yes it is possible.

  • @dabul3169

    Well:

    1. It's a movie, so yeah

    2. It's a Disney movie, so bigger yeah

  • ah the ol' suicide squeeze

  • This Hit or Die guy for a second reminded me of Kurt Russel!

  • For years I thought they were pllayin this game for the world series :o

  • I never got this: The home team puts up "Hit or Die" for the opposing batter on the jumbotron?

  • 156 pitches! My arm would fall off by then...

  • Keezy = Adam Dunn.

    #32

    On the white sox

    Fucking Huge.

  • @Tnate17 not adam dunn lol

  • @xexima4555555 I know. I just find it ironic because now Adam Dunn is on the white sox. These guys look so similar hahaha

  • batter looked like he wanted to beat clarks ass at 4:36, great restraint for the team

  • beautiful catch at 4:04

  • hit or die=keezy

    trap or die=jeezy

    hmmmm?what an interesting marketing scheme.

  • they metion that the winner won the division when the game scene started

  • 7:18 is way too corny

  • Tony Danza needs to work on his windup. I've seen him throw in actuality and yes, that IS how he throws.

  • how could it be the "end of the game" if they have home-field advantage????

  • @123eliredsox since they are the home team, they bat last and if they are leading and maintain that lead after the visiting team bats in the top of the ninth, there's no need for the home team to bat again. they basically win the game if they can get three strikes and hold their lead

  • This and the Sandlot are quite possibly the greatest baseball movies of all time

  • make out party at 7:25

  • isn't this technically cheating.

  • @ToniAqua nope....its divine helpin lol

  • @ToniAqua isnt this technically a movie????

  • @TheKingRoyalty excuse me, sir. you need to remain calm. it's just a movie.

  • Why the team one, obviously through the past experiences from each game.

  • jesus... 156 pitches... how can u say there weren't angels with him in that game??? lol

  • all you gotta do is believe :)

  • The runner advanced from second to third on the infield single. But on the next play, he's seen running from second to third again on the flyball.

  • @drifter6276 I always wonder how things like that get through all the ppl who edit films..

  • what ever happened tothe calforina angels it made more sences then the LAA

  • 7:56 "All i can say is, IT'S ABOUT TIME" haha

  • 8-8-2010.

  • does anybody think the last batter looks like mark mcguire?

  • 6:45 what the hell is with that face

  • You can see a lady with an A's jacket in the crowd when Martinez scores. Possibly because they're in Oakland....that's awkward...

  • danny glover best actor in this movie

  • There aren't enough movies like this out there anymore. What a feel good flick.!!!

  • The batter spitting at 4:57 is disgusting!

  • i would come to a full count but a great movie

  • dang a lot of pitches

  • 160 pitches...i don't know if i've ever seen a pitcher go more than 140...at least in the last 25-30 years!

  • why didn't have a match between?

    Angels vs. Devils

  • @davidlee110: LOL!

  • @seonapark: Huh?

  • who the hell is managing this game? 156 pitches right before the playoffs?

  • @streetlegendsforfags, it's a fantasy movie, where "the pennant" = "the championship." Notice how there's no mention of a playoffs or a World Series anywhere in here.

  • @ZhangtheGreat or maybe, because the pennant is winning your division, dumbass

Pennant race, the race to clinch the league or division title in a regular baseball season, thus implying a world series.

  • @streetlegendsforfags, I know what the baseball playoff format is actually like dude. Reread what I wrote again. This is a FANTASY movie. The producers decided to make winning "the pennant" as the actual championship, even if it's not what MLB's playoff format is really like, and just pretend that the World Series doesn't exist in this movie.

  • @ZhangtheGreat fantasy? i thought this was based off of a true story

  • @streetlegendsforfags, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, so yes, this is a fictional tale not based off anything except whatever the producers/writers/creators had in mind.

  • This is arguably the greatest "final game" scene in baseball movie history, superbly acted, great commentary, great action.

  • I love this movie!

  • that's carney lansford.

  • i wish youd know if they win the world series or not

  • Roger said the magic word- cue sequence!

  • California Angels rule!

  • This is a great film.

  • i love this movie
