@demoswolf u need to level up your attunement and your intelligence and also u need a flame from laurentus to use pyromancy aswell as a catalyst to use soceries which you find in the house where u rescued the guy looking for big hat logan in the area before capra demon.

@pryt86 Glad for you. I LOVE pyromancies, so many to use and they do a sht ton of damage. VERY fun. Only problem is that the bosses resistant to fire are a pain in the ass...

@pryt86 True. Simply put im torn. Pyromancies have a wider range of power and are more numerous than Lightning, but Lightning is also far more powerful to most bosses than fire (Killed sif before Iron Golem).

The sad part is, I just entered the painting, it was a NIGHTMARE, once you enter, it's gonna take you A LOT of effort to leave, I haven't slept yet, Also, when you go back for the doll thingy, the ground will break and there will be a boss there, I lost 170 000 souls because of that, uploader shouldve stated imo

I thought about including those details, but I came to the conclusion that I shouldn't. One reason is that I really feel like the element of surprise is an integral aspect of what makes this game so fun. That's just my opinion, sure, but it was difficult to decide to include those details or not. I do kind of regret not mentioning being stuck in the painting once you enter, though. I just hope the video is helpful in locating the spells when vague descriptions fail.

Yes it was helpful, I never knew you could go back to that starting place after leaving it, however, getting stuck in the paint was really frustrating, and losing 170 000 souls I've farmed up to fully upgrade my pyro flame made me wanna punch a baby, if I knew, I would have gone and upgraded my flame first, get that poison mist then went to get the doll, but I went for the doll first, killed by that stray demon, then entered the paint, it could have been easier than this

@Drakedog777 yea i went back for the doll thing i knew about the floor and the stray demon u have to fight. I was level 70 when i went back so i beat it first try. But thanks for the warning about the painting. I still havent went in there yet

np, just make sure to take that anti-toxic grass when your going, the area isn't that big, but it's like a maze, so try to keep the resting at minimum, because the hollow's respawn is a nightmare, there are lots of fat souls in that area, I went there at level 80-ish, it wasn't that hard, also remember to take at least 2 humanity with you to kindle that bonefire, once your done with the area you'll not regret it.

the only reason to be scared is being stuck, its psychological.

@MrTomkat030 What are you talking about? all the 30 humanity does is gice you a shortcut to Lost Izalith. you can still get there without joining the chaos covenant but you will have to go through an extra two bosses: the Demon Firesage and the Centipede Demon.

@ssj3life Yeah, you're boned. She won't be there until NG+. She's sometimes there after you beat Quelaag. Sometimes you need +10 on the pyromancy flame.

@ssj3life This was probably already answered, but yeas Quelana will disappear if you advance too far... I think Bed of Chaos is the boss that triggers her to leave if you beat it.

Capra was a total bitch, yes :( I found the bed of chaos to be annoying because it kept on knocking me into that stupid pit and also the gaping dragon because it has a glitch where if you touch it while it's moving past you you insta-die.

@jkmon5 did you beat the bed of chaos? if you did your boned.. she poofs. on my NG+ i rushed to the gargoyles, went into valley of drakes, into the blight town shortcut skipping the entire depths gaping, blight town section. she was sitting by a pillar. if you face away from the wheel (with a puppy running on it like a hamster funny enough.. anyone notice that?) she is on the closest pillar on the right.

You don't actually have to upgrade your Pyromancer's Catalyst to +10 to get Quelana to appear.

All I did was kill Quelaag and find the hidden passage, which revealed the Chaos Covenant and then she was there.
