I have a SONY HDR-CX110 camera with options for conversion lenses and I was curious as to whether or not you know if they have 35mm conversion lenses for it because I can't seem to locate any. Also, if not, do you know of a compatible lenes for my camera that would be close to this effect? Thanks.

a 35mm adaptor allows you to use 35mm lenses (photo or cine) on a camera with an image sensor size less than 35mm. It does this by projecting an image of what the lens sees onto a tiny ground glass which the tape camera then records. A 35mm adaptor gives greater depth of field and softens out harsh lines.

Is it possible to stop the lens down or do you have to shoot everything with the lens wide open? I'm looking into getting the adapter but I heard that when you stop the lens down from 1.4 not enough light gets into the camera. I wanted to know what you think.

very nice. It had a very dreamy quality, somewhat surreal. About 1:12 or so was kind of a bad edit, kind of flounders at this point. ending could have been smoother. Did it start over gain? if so, should have faded that 2nd ending.

I liked it. Video qulaity and music choice both good.

The Ee-A focusing screen will virtually have no vignetting.

In this video, I used the Ee-S focusing screen.

does it have to be a specific 35mm adapter? I mean, correct me if I'm wrong but does it have to be a certain size for hv20. I think cameras like dvx and hvx require the size adapter that is 72mm. I hope I got my facts right. If they are wrong, please correct me. I'm thinking of buying a hv20.

Nice. Would it help to put a wide angle on the 35mm lense?  Just wondering if a wide angle would increase field of view so the shots don't look macro. Or maybe depends on what your shooting and distance to the subject.

makesfilmz: A 35mm adapter accepts all types of lenses. So you wouldn't have to put a wide angle on the 35mm lens, just get a wider angle 35mm lens. A lot of people shooting tests for 35mm adapters use close ups to show the dof. So yeah, depends on what your shooting and distance, etc.
