The we bring them home to a place where Congress won't even fund one VA doctor for every 3,000 vets and demand that they "act normal". When they don't, we put them in jail.

The war raged on for that Marine, he wanted to be a soldier, not a hero, I hope he received the peace that he so deserved. So many Marines went down on that island, haunts the minds of those who made it off. Dads neighbor was wounded there, shot in the neck, is well into his 80's now, quiet and keeps to hisself.

Rent the movie FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS. Pretty good movie about the flag raising on Iwo Jima, and what happened to them, including Ira Hayes. Better yet, read the book the movie was based on. Some very horrific stuff. Most people have forgotten the sacrifices made by our parents and grandparents.

I want to know what Republicans are doing for the men and women who serve the military of this country. Why is it so hard for them to get medical treatment when they return? Totally Barefoot. It's how I was born. Only my father was surprised, btw. He witnessed my birth, then after my vitals were taken, and the mandated drops put in my eyes, he was given me wrapped in a blanket, counted my fingers and toes, and finally said to my mother, "Oh, look at her, she's...totally barefoot". And that's what they named me. My surname, of course, is private, but its not an uncommon name, and certainly not a famous name. It's my legal name on birth cert, passport, dl, etc
