Tommy Burton - I Wanna Be Like You

Went to see Tommy in Belfast Jazz Festival a couple of years before he died, he was performing with Spatz Langham, very memorable. I bought his his tape on the night, i've nearly worn it out!

I miss this man so much, spent many happy hours in the trumpet amazed by his talent and wit.

Difficult to say if it is Paul Degville on guitar cause last time i saw him was at Tommys pub ,The Lord Raglan in Wolverhanpton when paul was a fresh faced slim 16 year old in 1972. But the guitar is right because he always used to play a semi acoustic.

I love this osng and always enjoyed seeing ti with my grandkids . I think Tommy has the very best version of any I have ever heard what a talent. I wish i could have known of him when he was alive
