  • I think Uncle Charlie disliked this

  • Joseph Cotten and Teresa Wright are both wonderful here.

  • The best part about this movie: No one really listens to each other.

  • Where do I remember the old man from..? Wasn't he the angel in 'It's a wonderful life'?

  • Hume Cronyn was great.

  • are they? (so creepy) this is one of best movie scene ever.

the guy at 447 is the bomb! so funny! with his murder sense =P and saving the victim!

  • My favorite scene from one of my favorite movies.

  • Probably the greatest cast Hitchcock ever worked with. Cotten and Wright have been (deservedly) much praised, but the linchpin of the whole scene is Collinge as the dreamy, adoring, naive mother. "That's just your father's way of relaxing!"

  • i think what's so incredible about this scene is how quickly it goes from sheer terror to hilarity when mom says 'for heaven's sake don't talk about women like that in front of my club!' her complete blindness to his evil is fascinating.

  • Teresa Wright is absolutely wonderful. A role ahead of its time.

  • We watched this clip over and over in my film class and I still get chills when Uncle Charlie looks into the camera like that. Such great cinematography! Thanks for posting. :)

  • I love Patricia Collinge, and Joseph Cotten. Patricia Collinge is such an underrated actress. One of the best of Hitch's movies. Thanks so much for posting.
