  • Saw your page and wanted to say hey!

  • Hey sweetheart.

My tip is pull the eyelid to one side whilst resting your elbow on a desk to draw a steady line with eyeliner, also dipping the eyeliner pencils into a drop of water after sharpening helps it to glide on without patches. :) xxx

  • instead of using a white eyeliner on the waterline to open your eyes, use a skin coloured eyeliner or eyeshadow stick instead to make it more natural looking. also, i use 100% extra virgin olive oil to remove my eye makeup. olive oil is all natural, prevents pre-mature wrinkles, moisturizes the skin around the eye and conditions my lashes. olive oil will not clog your pores because the molecules are too big.

  • @01TiNE what about other types of oil? I use mineral oil...I should switch to olive oil I guess.

  • @PrettyLoather i know that coconut, almond & camellia are good for your skin aswell; they let your skin breathe, its close to your bodies natural oils & contains many vitamins/other great things for the skin. i would not reccoment mineral oils cause theres just too many conflicting things about it. it suffocates the skin, which causes wrinkling. hope this helped!

  • @PrettyLoather also, almost forgot :) olive oil is not oil an amazing makeup remover. it conditions your hair; even may prevent hair loss if rubbed on scalp, hydrates/strenghens your nails, great for a general moisturizer, provides UV protection & when mixed with organic honey & organic sugar can create a great mask for dry skin.

  • I know this was posted forever ago....lol...but I want to share a tip anyway! If you want your lashes to look longer use brown eyeliner instead of black...then use black mascara. brown eyeliner allows you to see the base of where your lashes start...and since brown is lighter than black..the black mascara stands out BIG TIME against your brown liner. I always get asked if my lashes are fake....and this is the trick ;)

  • Great idea for a contest! Thanks Emily and all those that lef great tips! =)

  • Tip. I love using extra virgin olive oil for my eye makeup remover it conditions my lashes, leaves my eyes nice and smooth and it does not clog pores... I like using extra virgin olive oil for my skin and hair.. it helps with lice (not that i have it) and controls hair fizz, it is a great replacement for shaving cream or foot lotion, olive oil has moisturizing effects.. it is an antioxidant (vitamin e) its very good for you and your skin!

  • my favorite beauty tip is putting vaseline on a blister when wearing high heels. I wear heals almost ever day and i have to tough it out, the vaseline really helps!

  • If you have a zit putting an ice cube over it will minimize the swelling and redness. After nursing that zit with an ice cube crushing up an aspirin with a drop of water and applying it to the problem area will show a significant decrease of the zit.

  • When applying any face creams you mush massage the face by putting it on but rub down also when you put on your foundation with a brush and rub down

  • TIP: The most effective way to prevent chlorine from getting into your hair (which can't be prevented completely) is to tie your hair in tight braids. It doesn't have to be french braids, as long as it is TIGHHT. Chlorine is bad for your hair so this is a good tip when going swimming :]

  • Very Cool!

  • sleep, sports and healthy food.

  • if u have thin eye brow then daily use olive oil in ur eye brows

  • I don't understand? Do you use olive oil on your eyebrow?

  • Do you put olive oil in your eyebrow to thicken it? Because I am trying to grow out my eyebrows to reshape it. Does anyone know any remedies for quicker hair growth?

  • massage the area

  • Hi!...my makeup tip=

for fuller lips- apply concealer alll round your lips

try not to get it on your lips. apply a a moisturizing cream on top to set it, and for the concealer to look more natural.

then apply a lipliner (you can even do this first..as a guideline) zpply your desired lip color and lipglosss..full lips without the collegin!!

  • If U want fulller eyelashes then prior to applying mascara, take a soft eyeshadow brush and dip it in a loose face powder, close UR eyes & dust the loose powder over UR lashes. U can do this several times 2 get a nice coating. After that apply UR mascara as usual & viola! You have beautiful thick lashes! This approach kinda works like a liquid primer but thru my experience, the loose powder works better! Hope this is helpful 2 some:).

  • i kno tht i is late but ahh well

  • my makeup tip is this:1. Apply a light eyeshadow over your entire eyelid from lash line to eyebrow bone, but not beyond.

    2. Define the crease of your eyelid using a medium or dark shade. The deeper the shade, the more dramatic look.

    3. To open up your eyes so that they appear livelier, place a dot of a light shade in the inner corner of each eye. Tip: When choosing an eyeshadow shade, keep in mind that a pastel shade will look softer while a darker shade will appear more dramatic whenapplied

  • errrmmm i kno tht i is late for the contest but i was wundering cold u tell me where to get maself some of those nails and eyelashes

  • any drug store or ulta or sephora.

  • you are amazing u rule xxx :) i'm unhappy coz i missed it nooooooooo luv u u rule u help me soo much wit everything

  • enter me please and my tip is highlight your upper cheek bones to give you that special glow

  • I know it is too late, but i wanted to leave a tip. If you put your make-up on in natural sunlight it will help you adjust the colors and make sure that you get the most flawless look you can have

  • I used to love doing this. It stinks because I used to do this all of the time when my husband was working regular hours, especially when making videos because I do notice a difference when I do makeup in the bathroom vs. in the living room with light. Now he works nights and is home during the days so I have to figure out how to fix the lighting so that the colors are vivid in the evenings :-P Any tips would be much appreciated :-D

  • Dabbing a little bit of a pretty, bright highlight color/shadow on the inner corner of the eyes really opens up tired looking eyes.

  • Hi Emily,

you can sharpen your eyeliner pencil or any liner by putting them in the freezer for about 5-10 minutes. They will harden a little and will not break when you sharpen the eye pencil.

  • Amazing tip!

  • Wow that's a great tip. I'll have to try!!

  • My favorite way of putting on blush is with a wet cosmetic sponge, patting the blush on your cheeks rather than wiping the sponge across your face. :)

  • use a q-tip with a little eye makeup remover on it to remove so left over mascara that can sometimes get everywhere!

  • I almost forgot to enter! My tip is to make a new eyeliner by applying an eyeshadow over a white eyeliner and tada! A new eyeliner!! It also makes the color super pigmented!

  • Hi Emily

    Here's my tip:

If you want a nude looking lip - Put on any lip balm such as carmex just to moisturize your lips first, then you can use a stick concealer or any other concealer on your lips - then put a sheer lightly tinted lip gloss over that - looks great! - the concealer works great also if you put it under a lipstick that you think might be too dark - it will lighten it up!

  • yay! i caught this on the last day!

    anyways,my tip is:

take you eyeliner PENCIL and put it in the edge of your eyes(between your top and bottom lashes, in that little space) dont extend it out though, it will make it look overdone. this will make you lashes look bigger without mascara,if you use mascara with this, it may show the eyeliner and make it look overdone. :)

  • Yay so glad I caught this video on the last day! Wow you have over 1,000 comments!!

My tip which is actually related to Revlon:

Hate the Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation Packaging, but LOVE the product? Simple solution:

-Pour the foundation into a small "travel size" bottle with a pump! These are sold at Beauty Supply stores as well as many other places! No more messy 'over-pouring.' Simply pump out the amount you need. Decorate/Label your new bottle!

    Thanks Emily for the contest!

  • This is such a great idea :) if you use slices of apple to sweep/rub over your face it helps people with oily skin over time - an apple slice a day keeps the skin doctor away!

  • My tip is to rub your lips with cinnamon, it really plumps your lips, better then any lip plumper i have ever bought.

  • well my tip is i like to mix a little of my foundation with my face moisturizer and it gives me a healthy glow...

  • Rinse hair with cold water for lotsa SHINE! :D

  • my tip is...i have a foundation that is a tad too dark for me so I mix it 1/2 & 1/2 with my aveeno luminous moisturizer and it is now my perfect color w/ an added dewy look...there is always a way to use a product even if it isnt the way originally intended...thanks sweetie, good luck to everyone!

  • my beauty tip is that before applying moisturizer or liquid foundation just spray your face with some water and then apply your moisturizer or liquid foundation. this will help the moisturizer really go into your skin and will help the foundation not look cakey. hope this helped =D

  • Hi

my tip is to help reduce or prevent streth marks....what i use is Shea butter and 100% olive oil....shea butter is available from african food shops!put a large amount of Shea butter into a bottle and then pour in the olive oil above the shea butter, shake well making sure its well mixed in,you can but it all over your body or just where you want to reduce stretchmarks, this really helps it could take afew months to see results depending on your skin type.....hope this helps someone!!!

  • my beauty tip is if you suffer from dark circles before you go to bed rub some petroleum jelly or vaseline underneath your eyes and leave it over night, the next day your under eye circles wont completly vanish but they wont look as harsh and not as dark.

  • hi emily ,

    my beauty tip is:

if you dont like having frekels ( i dont )

    then wash your face

and then aply a smapp amount of lemon juice 2 you habds and rub onto face

not only dosen it smell nice but andter about a week your frekels fade

but remeber a face without frekels is like a sky without star

  • Have tired puffy eyes? Try a few natural home remedies: Cold cucumber or potato slices, fresh cold strawberries, spoons left overnight in the freezer, and seeped, refrigerated tea bags all do wonders. Choose the remedy you like best (I like the tea bags), lay your head back and place your choice product over your eyes and simply relax for about 15 or 20 mins. You'll look like a new woman!

  • Don't use non-waterproof mascara on lower lashes, it smudges into your eye shadow and under-eye cream. It is sometimes better to wear a waterproof mascara on the lower

lashes and a non-waterproof on your upper lashes.

  • when my concealer comes out too light, i balance it out with some bronzer

  • I use "Preparation H" (yes, the ointment for hemorrhoids!) for the dark undereye circles. I apply just a little bit under the eyes at night and I'm dark circle free the next day.

  • im not sure if you would take these, oringinality?? "For attractive lips, Speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, Seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, Share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, Let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day. For poise, Walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone."
  • I have really really long hair so my beauty tip is going to be for hair. In order to keep my hair nice, healthy and shiny, I comb my hair with a wide tooth comb in the shower while I wash my hair then after I rinse it with cold water - I'm not sure why it's good cause i just did it one hot summer day and it worked but I just looked it up and apparently it "constricts the opening of the sebaceous glands to help moderate sebum production on the scalp". So there's my tip =]

  • because i have pigmented lips, when i buy a l/s or l/g the color isn't exactly what i hopes for so what i do is put liquid concealer or foundation on my lips let it dry so i can get a really pale lip an then i put on my lip product about 9:10 i do that i get the color i want and major bonus about doing this the color stays on longer on my lips. hope that this is helpful

  • my tip is very weird. take it at your own precaution. it might be really disgusting but then it actually really works! my nose's skins sometimes gets flaky and starts peeling and lotion sometimes wont help or it'll clog my pores on my nose. or the lotion might make my nose look all shiny and greasy, i hate that the most. so i use my saliva. i know it sounds gross but i heard our salivas pretty clean! haha thnks for having this giveaway. those are some coool prizes

  • I have fine hair but there is tons of it so I do have to use a straightener to tame it and my hair gets dry. I started making a mask for my hair 1/4 cup of mayo, 2 tbsp olive oil & half an avacado! I apply this all over my hair heavily on ends b/c they are dry. Loosely pile hair on head and wrap in saran wrap. It contains the heat coming out of your scalp and heats up the fats in the mask. leave it on for an hour & wash it out. It's hard to wash out but my hair comes out shiney and soft!

  • u can make any lipstick longlasting by first applying a lip liner n filling in ur lips with the same lipliner.next apply a lipstick..place a tissue on ur lips n dab it with sum loose powder with a powder puff... n then reapply ur lipstick...this vl make ur lipstick longlasting

  • The best makeup/beauty tip i have to offer is once a week clean ALL of your makeup applicators! That means even the sponges and most importantly your mascara wand. I know that sounds dumb but if you take the mascara wand out and remove all the mascara from the wand then clean it with eye makeup remover or olive oil then clean with mild soap or face wash it will help keep the clumping down and remove any dust or particles from using it on your eyelashes! plus always sharpen your pencils! Love, DB

  • I'm a late-bloomer when it comes to makeup. When I'm doing my eye makeup, I'm still having trouble getting both sides even. But, some of that is because I'm partially blind in one eye. Whenever I need to make a correction, I just take a dry, clean makeup sponge and wipe off whatever needs to be fixed. It works really well, and I don't have to bother with any makeup remover.

  • if you want a dewish smooth look i like to mix my moisturizer or acne med with aquaphor, also for my somewhat straight to wavy hair to get the beachy waves in less 1 minute.. towel dry hair a lil put any defrizzer i use citre shine serum scrunch a lil then sunsilks waves of envy sea mist the best stuff ever spray scrunch, let mine air drier cuz im lazy it always turns out perfect not too curly just waves no heat involved ppl... enjoy

  • Use Ponds cold cream rinse (or store brand) to remove eye make up. It works AMAZING. Very good for getting off all eye makeup (even waterproof) without being rough on your eyes. It wont irritate your eyes either!

  • Eat a raw carrot a day. The effort it takes to chew through those crunchy little devils is like a little face workout and will help to tighten those lower facial muscles, prevent gettin 'jowels' as we age :)

  • if you put a little conceler under ur eyes you wont have circles under them

  • hey!

if you have a nail polish that seems to get clumpy or streaky, just add a couple drops of acetone into it and mix it.

it makes the nail polish less clumpy and doesn't affect the color.

  • Heyy Emily I think Tyler is very cute and soft spoken. On the other hand youre charming chirpy great combo anyways.

This is a tip for those with straight hair or wavy hair or maybe very curly hair

Before sleeping make a French plat. Open your hair in the morning and you would find frizz free beach hair. This is a healthy and anti damage method for a great hairstyle... people would think that you have used a curling iron.

  • Kind of an odd tip but it's for hiding eyebrows. Maybe for a costume or whatever.

Use a gluestick! Coat your eyebrows with a few layers from a gluestick then conceal as usual. Your eyebrows DISAPPEAR. and I've never had any issues with hair loss or anything. It wipes right off.

  • I love using extra virgin olive oil to remove my eyemakeup its something readily available and feels super soft afterwards.

  • A geat tip I picked up years ago is to apply Vaseline to your lips, give it time to soften your lips, then take a soft toothbrush gently work it a bit on your lips. Wipe to remove eccess, then apply regular lip treatment/gloss/lipstick. Your lips are plump, fresh, smooth, and youthfull, and your lip products look a lot more "high end"

  • 2 Mascaras are better than one!

I dont think one mascara is good enough for overall effct on my asian lashes.

I first put Smashbox lash primer

    Then Voluminous Loreal Mascara

Then either..Maybellines Define-a-Lash or True Hydrology Mascra

It's nice because you volumize your lashes first and thn you comb it out with the defining brush. My lashes curl better and look much more noticeable!!

  • Anti-Cellulite!!!!

Egg white lightly beated, then add some coffee grounds with caffine. Put on legs and any other area where needed. let completly dry. best to do thin in shower or tub so you dont make a mess! once dry wash egg of with luke warm water. rinse off with soap if u dont want to smell like coffee. then pat dry and put on lotion. :~)

  • put a light concealer under the eyes it will make you look super awake =)

  • Drink plenty of water. It makes skin look young and refreshed. I definitely feel a difference when I don't get my 8 glasses.

  • If you wash your face in the shower, do NOT do it before you put on conditioner. Conditioner can clog your pores. Whats the point of washing it just to get them clogged right after? So wash your face AFTER you rinse out your conditioner.

  • Those half empty bottles of hair conditioner that seem to accumulate under your sink work great as a shaving lotion. It will make your skin super soft!!!

  • An AWESOME BEAUTY TIP. Before going to bed at night put vaseline under and on your eyelids on a clean face. This REALLY works help with keeping that delicate skin from wrinkling. Also at night put vaseline on your feet and wear socks in the morning your feet will be so SOFT.

  • Here is a Great TIP for all my party girls!

*Pink lipstick wakes up a tired face* Yes girl, believe it I party all night long and tend to look tired. So this was a life saver for me.

  • I like to use egg yolk on my face, works great on skin. I have only tried it on the face, just put on raw yolk all over my face wait till it hardens some and then washed it off. It leaves your face feeling wonderful and soft. The yolk has a lot of nutrients that it may supply the skin. This tip may seem weird, but defiantly works. Another idea of mine is use olive oil for a natural makeup remover. You can place some on a cotton pad, or use it however you like.

    (contact me for address)

  • To get rid of of blackheads, dry skin, acne. & oilyskin - rub lemon juice on your face every night.

Plus it'll make your face lighter.

  • if your nails are yellowish after removing nail polish from them... rub a little vaporub on them... it gets them looking healthy!!!

  • Hi All, To get rid of pimples on your face, use Fuller's Earth mix it with rose water and apply, wash after 20 min, it really works & is an excellent cleansing mask.

I would also recommend 'Cetaphil' Gentle SkinCleanser and lotion for the face, the cleanser is soap-free and mild so it doesn't let your skin go dry & the lotion is just perfect i.e. not too oily neither sticky, it feels light. I clean my face daily with the cleanser & apply lotion thereafter. Believe me, pimples never reappeared.

  • Best make tip! Use concealer on your lips for a nude AND long lasting lipstick. It serves as a primer! It makes your teeth look whiter too!

  • Hey there ladies, my tip secret: to fight anti-aging and sagging in the face: as you are cleansing your face always use a upward motion! If you are wiping down you are setting yourself for deep wrinkles in your face. And massage as you cleanse upwards to circulate the blood in your face!

  • if you have flaky skin, just put some vaseline/petroleum jelly on it & then wash it off w/ a face cloth, face wash, etc

  • for soft hand and feet apply vaseline to feet and hands and put socks/gloves on before bed and when you wake up you will have super soft hands and feet

  • Heres my tip!

-When you wash your face at night, first you have to remove your makeup, THEN wash your face!

(You will get blackheads and pimples if you wash your face without removing your makeup! it really works!

    (I'm only 13 but I have parental permission!) :)

  • Beauty Tip: when I was a in my teens, I always wanted that nude lip that everyone was able to achieve buy using a beige lip color. What mom taught me was if I wanted to have a nude lip to just use a color that is the same shade has my natural lip color. For example: my natural lip color is a pinkie/plum color so natural for my nude lip color I would use a pinkie/plum lipstick. This little trick works to have your very own nude lip color without the extra steps to achieve that nude lip of yours!

  • My favorite makeup remover is Sonia Kashuk from Target. It may seem pricey at $10 for 4oz. compared to the same amount from Rimmel for $5-$6, but it takes far less product to remove your makeup. It removes any waterproof makeup and even removes my 16 hour lipsticks with no effort at all. It requires a very small amount and makeup glides off effortlessly. It leaves the skin soft and moisturized. It is a high-end product with a drugstore price.

  • Something I've done since I was a teen is I apply my lip liner AFTER applying lipstick. It helps the lip liner glide smoothly over my lips without tugging at my skin and helps prevent feathering. It also makes the application look natural. I use my ring finger (if I'm in a rush) or a lip brush to smooth out any harsh edges.

    Try it.

  • If you ever have issues with your nail polish bottles sticking making them difficult to open...you can try: rubbing some petroleum jelly (vaseline) around the inside of the cap and around the 'spout'...it works great :o)

  • To add extra light to the eye area, I take a white liner and use it to line the outer corner of each eye. Like this <. Then, I go back and line the rest in brown.

  • using a body lotion as a hair serum to fight off frizz and make your hair smell good. just rub some lotion on the palm of your hands then run it through your hair avoiding the roots so your hair wont get greasy.

  • lets say you ran out of eyeliner and you cant go out a get another one just use your mascara. just take a eyeliner brush and get some mascara on the eyeliner brush from the mascara brush and there you have eyeliner and you have your chose of waterproof or regular. :D

  • If you can't for some reason, wash your hair for a day. Rub some translucent face powder on your roots it will absorb any oil and make your hair look clean!

  • A little bit of baby powder works for this too, just make sure to comb it through if you have dark hair

  • Use baking soda to exfoliate your skin very gently and cost effectively! Come on! Everyone has baking soda laying around the house! The grainy texture helps slouche off any dead skin on the face (and anywhere else too!)

  • A great inexpensive eye makeup remover is Vaseline. Just use a q-tip to apply it all over your eye, and then use the other side to wipe it away. You may need to rinse the skin a little afterwards because Vaseline sometimes leaves a little bit of a film behind. Just don't poke yourself in the eye with the q-tip like I did haha =]

  • Using Vaseline around the cuticles of your nails is great for keeping the nail polish from sticking to your skin while painting if you're as clumsy as I am. :)

  • to make your nail polish more vibrant and colorful and a white base first and then apply two coats of your fave nail polish then top coat and WALAH!! vibrant nails looking B-E-A-utiful

  • @tatitatertot1 that really does work! i did that last night hoping it would work because i was just bored, and my nails look amazing it wouldve taken 4 coats of this nail polish to get how it is now ha

  • Tip: So when I put on fake eyelashes I like put liquid eyeliner on AFTERWARDS, like after I've glued my fake eyelashes on and its sort of hard with my real lashes and fake eyelashes stickin up and I found a tip that If I use one of my eyeshadow brushes or a q-tip(The stick part) over my eyelashes with a little pressure I can easily run my liquid eyeliner over my eyelid. To me its just perfect and less messy.

  • This isn't related to make-up but it does have to do with beauty. When I'm in a hurry I shave my arm pits and legs with lotion! That way you don't have to get into the shower or bath AND your legs are leg soft from the lotion. BEST TIP EVER!!! (just make sure you rinse your razor very often)

  • My tip is if when you put liquid eyeliner on it ends up on the other parts of your eyelid then when you put the liquid eyeliner on put some shadow over the top while it is still wet. This will keep the eyeliner from budging all day.

  • To get softer skin, use an egg yolk mask:

    - Separate egg yolk from white

    - Whip egg yolk in bowl

    - Apply to face

    - Leave on 20 min

    - Wash off

    - Avoid eye area

  • To clean the edges of my mainicure instead of using Q tip or manicure pen I purposely let my topcoat overlap the outer edges. When the polish dries you can easily remove any mistakes after oiling cuticles and washing your hands with cold water. This also speeds up drying time.

  • If you have a big day coming up and want your skin to look really refreshed, take 2 tablespoons of yoghurt and 1 teaspoon of sandalwood powder (available at many specialty stores!) and put an even layer of the mixture on your face. Let it sit for about 20-30 mins. and then wash off for radiant skin :)

    Thanks for the contest Emily!

  • Using body butter before applying L'Oreal Sublime sunless tanning lotion. I like to rub in body butter (preferrably Bath and Body Works, Sensual Amber) on my knees, wrists (I type all day and they are a little rough), elbows, near my armpit (arm rubs on chest) and on my feet before applying the bronzer. It helps to eliminate dark patches on those areas. Thanks for organizing this contest!

  • Yes, I´m an international viewer! And so glad to be able to participate of it!My tip is: after exfoliating your feet, before going to sleep, u moisturize them a lot, wear socks and blow dryer them for a while. They´ll be like satin in the mornig!Sorry my bad english!xoxo

  • dexiden 4 in a wash they use is hospitals, i think surgens wash their hands in it, but it work really well as a fash wash it totaly get rid of acne, if you cant somehow get some from a hospital room... youcan buy dexiden 3 at the drug store i think its works about the same,

  • The tops of your cheekbones are a key place to apply highlighter because it draws the eyes upward, highlights your bone structure and gives the face more radiance. To find the top of your cheekbones, place 2 fingers side by side under the outer corner of your eye. That's the top of your cheekbone!

    =)

  • Here is my tip...lf you have a problem with tired puffy eyes. You can keep a couple of teaspoons in the refrigerator and gently, very gently tap them under your eyes in the morning. It is refreshing and the puffiness just disappears!

  • washing your hair everyday or even each other da take all the natural ingredients out of your hair so avoid doing so. ifyou have to just use a normal facial soap you will be amazed by the results of this your scalp with cleanes out there also wash all of your hair in shampoo once a week but two times that day then apply conditioner on the roots not in the scalp as it will just cause extra oil.

use anti fungal infection cream on any break out you have it will be gone in 24 hours!

  • use a mens moisturiser on your skin some people find this scary but as men have thicker subaceous glands the moisturiser really locks in the skin. so doing this will really prevent wrickles, as well as looking flawless.

  • I always apply a layer of eye cream under my eyes before applying a cream concealer. It helps the concealer glide on smoothly, brightens your eye area, and works against those pesty fine lines all day!

  • If you are out and about and break a nail and do not have a nail file or cannot find one...we will say you are out camping...then use the strike plate on a matchbox as a file. It will work in a pinch! I hate a crooked broken nail!

  • To avoid break-outs, try avoiding touching your face throughout the day and if u do touch your face make sure that you wash your hands before so that they're clean!

  • When you wash your face and you go to dry it don't rub your face with the cloth. You want to just pat it dry. If you rub the cloth it could tear your skin and also cause wrinkles.

  • Mix 2/3 asprin tablets with 2 teaspoons of water, Apply to the face and leave for 5 - 10 minutes, this really helps with acne and even wrinkles! Asprin in is made out of salicylic acid also known as Beta Hydroxy Acid, BHA for short. Which has been shown to have amazing results for clearing the skin. :) Thanks x x x

  • When your at the beach or laying by the pool dont only protect your skin also protect your hair. If you color your especially! .. If your laying in the sun put some sunblock in your hair (oil free) is what I prefer .. not to much or your hair will look greasy! .. this will keep your color from fading and keep your hair from getting dried out from the sun .. in addition to that also put in some leave in conditioner =]

  • My beauty tip would be....makeup can make anyone look more beautiful but beauty is only skin deep. To top your look off I think that by smiling makes a big difference in how you look. My beauty tip would be to smile because you'll see a big difference because makeup can be worn and taken off but a smile is memorable!

  • Having troubles with red eyes? Put cucumber´slices on your eyeslids !

I don't guarantee that it will take all the redness away, but it helps to minimise the redness when your eyes are really red.

I tryed to do it and it desapeared the redness so i was able to blink with my eyes again :P

    Good Luck;) !

  • No matter how much make up you use, always clean your skin twice a day. Your skin will be healthier and brighter.

  • my best beauty tip is to only enhance one feature at a time

for example if you are wearing bright eyeshadow don't wear bright lipsticks/lipglosses

so only enhance one beauty feature at a time

  • My tip for long lasting eyeliner Styli-Style semi perminent eyeliner. It claims to last 24 hours and it really does, I use this all the time. And another tip is, if you're trying to achieve that "nude" lip look it's important that your lips look extra moisturized so gently exfoliate any dry skin from the lips with a spare toothbrush using a circular motion, and then apply a lip balm such as chap stick for optimum condition of lips (wearing nude needs extra moisture to stop lips looking barren).

  • MY TIP:

in order to achieve an even more defined "cat eye"..aside from the eyelining, use your mascara and instead of brushing it upward, brush it toward the corners to enhance the outer part of your lashes, thickening the outer part as if you had falsies! =] hope it helps.

  • my best beauty type: pick out your best feature on your face and emphasize it. you can't go wrong! ex. eyes, lips, cheeks, eyebrows.....

  • white vinegar and apple vinegar when applied to your skin will correct its ph levels and therefore cure acne ..... this should be done only once a day and note the smell is not pleasant

  • Water. ...drinking plenty of water to keep your body hydrated. Water provides the means for the cells of the body to obtain nutrients. The skin is not only the body's largest organ, it is an excretory organ and water also provides the means for it to rid itself of waste. Hydrated skin appears more taut and full, thus providing a beautiful glow to your face and the whole body!

  • My tip is for dry skin on legs, arms... any part of the body and also for the tips of the hair: I use Monoï oil. It's far too better than many body milks and it smells so great! Monoï oil is Coconut oil infused with tiaré flowers, so I guess Coconut oil works as well (but I haven't tryed).

  • My best beauty tip for those who do not like using eyeliner because it can easily smear and appear too harsh, is to use black and gray eyeshadow. It lasts longer, is less harsh than eyeliner, so it seems more natural, and you don't have to pay for eyeliner!

  • My tip is... I use the loreal double extend mascara, and i hate the "spider leg look", so after i apply my mascara, i keep a sewing needle in a bag and i carefully seperate the lashes that have been salathered together with the mascara. its kinda dangerous, in case you sneeze, but its a risk Im willing to take.

  • Use crisco as a heavy duty moisturizer. It has been an old time secret tip from beauty pageants, air stewardesses and such.

  • My tip is using bronzer to contour face. I don't have alot of contour under cheeks and I have a small chin. I use my kabuki brush to really work in bronzer under cheeks and under chin and jaw line. It really makes a big difference! Just make sure you really blend it in so it's not a harsh line. This also works for double chins.

  • Tip for nail art:

    1. Use a base coat

    2. Use acrylic colors for painting (with a very fine brush).

    3. Use a top coat.

  • my best beauty tips is to sleep a lot, eat a lot of vegetables and fruits and laugh a lot. and also exercise.

  • For summer beach glow mix bronzing powder with sunscreen, great for face, neck and decolletage

  • hi emily, i suggest you use a lighter concealer stick as a highlighter rather, one that actually shimmery. this will create the effect but not make it too shiny (making it appear oily). just draw thin line down the bridge of your nose or on the arch of your eyebrows and blend (pat) with your finger. and your all set.

  • Hi Emily! my tip is to go over your wet/damp eyeliner (pencil or liquid) with some eyeshadow to longer the staying power. The dryness from the eyeshadow will "set" the liquid liner in place.

(Kind of like putting on powder over your liquid foundation to "set" it)

  • My beauty tip is to use your hair dryer on your eyelash curler for a few seconds to warm it up. if you have stubborn eyelashes like mine this should help!! :)

  • hi, Emily! my beauty tip is when moisturizing, make sure to apply your moisturizer on your face when it is damp that way the moisturizer gets "locked" into the skin and let it air dry. i learned this from josh aka petrilude her on youtube and i find that it has helped a lot :)

  • if u wear high heels all the time... u will realize that u may get ur back heels scrab... or lik blisters... what u can do to help pervent that is by putting vaseline... apply a thing coat where u may get blisters... this will help the skin because its gives a slippery surface so it wnt leave blisters...

  • My best beauty tip is to drink plenty of water, rest (sleep) and exercise.

  • never use anything that has mineral oil in it. its like wrapping your body in saran wrap, which traps in all the toxins and doesnt let your skin breath. this includes VASELINE. it only temporarily makes your skin soft, then it makes it dry and makes you more prone to wrinkles. also its made out of the same stuff as gasoline. the best things to use are all natural products. remember the less ingredients something has the more natural it is. also flouride, stop using anything that has that in it.

  • one is if you have uneven skin color....mix some baking soda with ur best cleanser and this will greatly help with making ur skin more even in color

  • my beauty tip is to use regular olive oil to remove my eyeshadow and mascara

  • If your skin feels super chapped and lotion just doesn't seem to work, grab your favorite lotion and mix it with a about 1/4 as much vaseline and it will help to make your skin feel better. This works especially well with the lotions that come as part of your perfume sets which never seem to be thick enough to help your skin feel soft. Baby oil can work great if you mix it with equal parts of your favorite perfume you have instant perfumed oil or you can use it to take a bath.

  • put vaseline on the back of your foot before wearing heels and it helps so that your heels dont hurt on the back of your foot.

  • Hi Emily!

My best beauty tip would be...

If you have overly dry skin, you can use honey to add moisture back to your dry skin.

Mix four tablespoons of honey and three tablespoons of milk together.

This can be applied on face. neck, body mostly anywhere!

After 15 min. Rinse with warm water

and you will instantly feel and see smoother skin! ALSO! add sugar without the milk this time. It makes a perfect scrub!!

  • my beauty tip is to drink green tea everyday! it helps with rosacea, acne, blemish, and everything else. Also, the used green tea bags can be used as eye pack or put it in your food while cooking and it will lower the calories!!!

  • beauty tip: for a beautiful natural glow apply you highlight color under/before your foundation/powder and it will show slightly thru making you look like you have natural perfect dewy skin...

  • A good way to have strong nails that dont break alot, and are really sturdy is to eat Jello! :)

  • To avoid dry legs caused by shaving... Mix either sea salt or sugar with safflower oil and a few drops of your favorite essential oil (for razor burn try a soothing anti-inflam oil like chamomile) Scrub legs in the shower before shaving, After rinsing and shaving. PAT DRY or let air dry, your legs will be silky smooth and VERY well hydrated. this is also a good treatment before spray tanning or using self tanner. BECAUSE I kNOW WE'RE ALL STAYING SAFE IN THE SUN!! Thanks Emily!

  • Hello Emily,

My tip is to set your foundation or get that flawless airbrushed foundation look. Apply your foundation with a brush then get a sponge wet it with mac fix plus or your own glycerin and water mix (1part glycerin 8 parts distilled water) and then dab your foundation. this corrects any imperfections and helps your foundation last even longer.

    Thank you.

  • Hello!

Here is my best beauty tip...

Take any old mascara, remove the wand and clean it throughly, then you can use the wand as an eyebrow brush :)

  • Hello!

Here is my best beauty tip...

  • My best beauty tip :

Drink at lest 2L of water each and every day! It makes your skin glow and look flawless :)

  • Vaseline is GREAT for the lips. It moisturizes.

  • One of my favorite beauty tips is to wash your face with rice water, the water that you rinse when you make rice, specially if you have greasy face. Pick me Emily... lol

  • Blend! Blend! Blend!

Apply makeup in the light in which it will be seen (bright, natural light for day; bright, incandescent for evening). Always use proper tools and remember to blend, blend, blend, using your finger tips or professional makeup sponges. When applying foundation, blend until it fades at the hairline and under the chin. When applying blush or eyeshadows, blend until there is no obvious difference between colors or tones.

  • two words: BAKING SODA

Add enough water to make a paste and voila a great exfoliator that will NOT dry out your skin. I have dry sensitive skin and this works

Mixed with hydrogen peroxide it whitens teeth

You can make a body scrub like the facial one or even better bath bombs or bath oil and it leaves you fresh and clean and SOFT

Also mixed in some water and used in your hair it got rid of stubborn hair spray from my wedding

It's cheap and I LOVE it my otherlovesarevinegar and vaseline lol

  • You should never go to sleep with make up on. Wearing make up to sleep ages you 10 times more that usual. So unless at 20 you want to look 30.... you should wash your face before bed

  • instead of washing ur face with water, i use rice water. my grandma swears by it.

  • CUSTOMIZE ANY CONCEALER

You can customize ANY concealer to match your skin tone by mixing in different eyeshadows.

Example: If your concealer is too light, you can swirl your finger in brown eyeshadow, then use the same finger to swirl in your concealer jar. Obviously, you have to experiment with different browns that you have in order to match your skin, but you will never have to throw away any concealer again because it doesn't match you. Finished product = a perfect, more opaque, concealer.

  • Almond oil is good for your hair, skin, nails/cuticuls and eyelashes!

    ONE PRODUCT - MULTIPLE FUNCTIONS!

HAIR: apply it on the end and work your way up to the roots. it will nurture your hair and it will make it look shiny and silky

FACE: mix the oil with any moisturizer you have. good for dry skin.

NAILS/CUTICULS: it moisturizes and softens them

EYELASHES: soak a cotton ball and put it on your lashes at night. It help them grow!

... and thanks Emily for this contest!

    Bye

  • if you're just leaving the house in a hurry, take some vaseline and dab only a little on your lashes. it darkens them, so its kinda like you put on some mascara. (:

  • Add several drops of almond oil to your manicure soak to get soft hands and cuticles.

  • If you want your lipstick to be more shiny, you can use an inexpensive chapstick, such as Lip Smackers in Pink Lemonade, as a top coat! It saves having to buy a clear lipgloss and it's something most people already have :)
