Man, what was everyone's obsession with 1999 in the 20th century? Not like I wasn't there, and I had a bit of excitement up until about 1997, but... man. This show came out in 1975... of course we'd be attempting extrasolar travel in the next 24 years!

Of course, when 1999 finally came around, the only manned ship that we sent into space was the Columbia space shuttle. It's 2010 and I'm still waiting for that moon base to show up.
