Claudio's voice is very trained and impressive now especially for a prog rock band because most bands now have terrible vocalists.

Claude was so much crazier back then too like when he starts screaming into his pickups, hell ima pick me up a set of EMG 81's too and see if i can pull that shit off

everyone.... he has EMG pickups which are really sensitive "active pickups" and pickup ANY sounds not just strings vibrating or whatever, you can like carry on conversations with them, i own a pair

Actually any real high output pickup is the same, Paul Gilbert does it on the song "Get out of my yard" and he doenst use actives, he uses DiMarzio pickups but I never know which ones.

But yeah any high output pickups, I assume actives make it easier to talk into them though.

No its not a talk box thats travis. When claudio screams into the guitar he is setting off the strings to vibrate with his voice there for being picked up by the pick up.
