  • Hermgirl and AtheismCentral are 100% right about you. *nods*

  • (continued) Keep battling this pro-sex bullshit sister!

  • Your channel has some good content, one of which is this video. Being that I share many of your views, I'm going to add you to my related channels.

One issue that is really bothering me is the normalization of prostitution in our culture (Culture reflects popular opinion, something socially engineered. We need to engineer or culture to rationality) the fact remains:

Prostitution, Stripping, and Pornography all stems from money, economic coercion of a woman's sexuality from her being in poverty

  • Yup, I've noticed the commenting tactics of certain folk. And what I've noticed about you Booboo, is that for a *really* long time you've been more than civil with some of these people.

I'm not telling you you should come out with guns a blazin', but I'm just saying some of us out here notice who the fair minded people are and who doesn't play fair, and I can't be the only one.

  • Boo, can you tell me if the Swedish model can be classed as legalization or decrim or is there evidence that it is working.

  • @shirehorse91 it's criminalization of the buyers, and decrim for the sex workers and has a huge package of all kinds of help for them, it's been hugely successful with virtually no more trafficking there, including police wire taps of organized crime saying openly they're not sending their women there anymore. As far as the documentation goes, google that and talk to Tuckercrew.

  • @IndifferentSky It's good to hear that at least one model is working. I'll talk to tuckercrew. I wanted to know about terminology in this area so I don't sound like an idiot. Is it correct to that you are against legalization and decrim, but for the Swedish model?

  • @shirehorse91 At this point yes, and I am open to full decrim info, but have not had my questions answered. I've got a book to read and some people to interview.

  • @IndifferentSky Do you want to make your own decisions or do you want the big-brother gov. to make them for you?. I don't want the gov. to make any of my decisions. I want to be allowed to do as I please so long as I don't harm anyone. You can't legislate morality. I believe in letting others do their own thing even if it is something I may find to be repulsive. People in theocratic gov.s such as (say) Iran don't have to make any decisions. The Islamic wizards make them for you.

  • This video outlines many of the problematic areas in the prostitution discussion. Job well done. If you have more information on the psychological effects of prostitution I greatly appreciate a video on the topic from you. No pressure from me if you are not interested, however I do appreciate your perspective.

  • serves only to point out Austraila's failed attempt at positive change and reinforce the link mentioned above. This does not help. It's just a blameful rant.

  • @TheALGAYDA 2. I'm glad there are people out there that will cover the topic. Because people lie. They just like the ideology of legal things, and they don't care who gets hurt even if it's in the worst way possible next to torture, so nobody can make an article talking about the TRUTH? Also, you want any article discussing a problem telling you what to do at the end? Why does that have to be the point? I find your attitude alarming, frankly. Very biased almost madly entrenched.

  • @TheALGAYDA 3. So what if this was an article about how damaging gay "conversion" camps were? Would you be saying all these things about a sourced article detailing the problem? "This is just a rant against religious groups, it's intolerant, people have the right to believe what they want to, those people can leave at any time", I don't even think that would OCCUR to you, yet the victims of trafficking suffer a LOT more. I cannot believe how insensitive people are, oh except towards MEN.

  • @TheALGAYDA 4. So I think I need to do a video poll asking how many men would buy the services of a trafficked person, and if they think this issue should be more concerned with their feelings, or people's lives? Because I don't think all men are like this or this is "men's desires", or that when it comes or slavery and making women shut off their desires and entering their bodies and god knows what else, that "men's desires" are the priority here. Is this what. I think it's misandry.

  • "As long as there are men demanding cheap commercial sex, there will be traffickers willing to supply it."

I think that one line sums up the underlying tone of this entire post. It establishes a blameful link between men's sexual desires and human suffering.A key point is that this post does little to offer any viable call to action towards positive change. It.(cont)

  • @TheALGAYDA sorry, but it's sourced, and just because that person does not share your opinion, does not mean that it's wrong. Also, I find your view very strange. Men's sexual desires? So we just can't talk about people purchasing these services no matter what? So this is ALL MEN? No, it is not and you know that. It's "men's sexual desires"? that really sounds like misandry to me. I mean that's the offense here? I don't understand how the offense is against the men and not the people hurt?

  • @IndifferentSky 1-Yes I know it's sourced but that's really not the end of a 'discussion' , just seems one sided and anti- Even Creationists sites say they are sourced. I did not check it's references..did you? I also did not say it was wrong. I think it raises some very important issues that need addressing. We are obviously coming from opposite ends of the spectrum. I'm pro prostitution and you're anti.

  • @TheALGAYDA 2-

2- 'Mens sexual desires' comment was more about the correlation that Amanda Kloer put fowrd in that 2009 Topic. It was suggesting that men are calpable for the human suffering. In spite of the Law.

Noone gets into 'Human Trafficking' because they like the idea or enjoy it. It occurs because it's profitable.

The more prostitution is pushed underground the more 'traficking' will happen. The more underground it goes the more lucrative it becomes.

  • @TheALGAYDA 3- don't have a problem with the 'TRUTH" as you put it. The article in question is anti sex work & bias imo It seems to just want to ban it out right and say. Which is so unrealistic and naive. It would only damage and hinder the rights of sex workers and they will have no legal protection once again, not to mention the moral shame projected on them.I would hate to see 'sex laws' going backwards,

  • @TheALGAYDA 4-4-we need to strive for a better regulatory system. But those who continue to treat the sell of sexual services as taboo are indirectly responsible for pushing it underground and making the situation worse.

I don't see any point in trying to compare homosexuality with sex laws and prostitution. They are diferent issues imo. I see what you did there.I'm a little dispointed.

  • @TheALGAYDA 5-so i will end it here with the last comments on that thread that i think sum my point and stand perfectly.

'the issue of human trafficking gives anyone who wants to speak out against prostitution an excellent prop to push their ethical views on other people... which is just horrible.'

  • @TheALGAYDA 6-'The point, basically, is that: given that legalization of prosititution alone does not resolve human trafficing issues, does not suggest that legalization isn't a crucial part of a bigger plan that would be effective in stopping, or at least reducing human trafficing. In the example provided in this blog post, there was no mention of measures put into place to encourage existing illegal prostitution to follow legal routes.'

  • @TheALGAYDA really sorry for the long reply. cheers booboo

  • ..prefer to work alone. Oh btw, my friend could not call the Police. There was no protection in those days. I think what sums up the topic best is one of the replies which i'm going to post because it says it better than i could lol. "Because one system of legal prostitution is not working does not mean that the idea of legal prostitution is broken. If you build a car with no steering wheel and it crashes, you shouldn't assume the concept of a car is inherently broken. -cont-

  • in my experience most pros are mental and usually use that and or drugs as an excuse to turn tricks - i don't care really about it - i've never done it - i have had them offered and been tempted but never would i do that - for me it is the negation of what sex should be

  • @IndifferentSky Um, why is it a problem, I was quoting the ABC Radio Nationals' Doccumentary..? That's what the Swedish say they award the Pension for... It correlates, precisely, with your PTSD-rates in the Description... (85% of Ex-Sex Workers, wasn't it ?). How Low would your Self Esteem have to be, to want to pay a stranger to pretend to like/despise you you enough, to Fake Orgasm, at you ? That Damage goes both ways, in the Equation. Apparently. So I thìnk...

  • @IndifferentSky G'day... The Swedes have the MOST Progressive approach. Anybody who's been paid to Perform Sex is classed as Psychologically Damaged, given a Pension for Life ; & offered Voluntary Counselling... Anybody who's found to have Paid for Sex is Criminally Prosecuted, & Fined, or Imprisoned. Since 2005... Being paid for Sex Welds a Circuit in the Brain ; afterwards one has to work out"What's In This For Me ?!". Every time. During... So I did find..!

  • @WarblesOnALot "psychologically damaged" ooooooh that makes me cringe. I like the swedish model but your run down is like ouch with that label at the kick off.

  • ..I later worked with people who had disabilities. I worked 4 a guy from Tasmania with Cerebral palsy. We got talking 1 day after he made a pass at me. The guy couldn't even masturbate. He had tried to commit suicide a couple of times. He was gay..long story short..I hooked him up with a male escort. It really helped him and opened up a whole new world for him. Am i bad? I don't think so and my respect for the profession increased immensely. I know this is not a 'study'

    thought i

    d share it.

  • @TheALGAYDA good stories, and funnily enough Inmendham talked about the therapeutic side of it, and thought it would be good to change the whole mind set of the situations, not so patriarchal. I'm sure some would sneer at the idea of the "therapy" tag on the work, but it definitely is a nice, and definitely a step up. Thanks for participating.

  • @TheALGAYDA This is a sourced article, NZ seems to be doing way better than Aus. I've read nothing good about what's going on there outside of the fact your friend called the cops. I even think there are problems with NZ, but it looks like a UN posterchild compared to Aus. newsdotchange.dotorg/stories/legal-prostitution-in-australia-a-failure

  • @IndifferentSky Thanks I went and read it. It was interesting and surprising, I do plan to do some further reading on both sides of the arguments. I have to say i was taken back with the statements about sex trafficking and women forced into it until I read it was mainly Asian women. There is a huge problem with migrants who live here without permission and I can imagine such a thing would exist, underground, illegal irrespective of sex laws..right? I have also heard from some sex workers..

  • I'm from Australia.2 friends of mine paid their way through college by being prostitutes, 1 was male the other was female.Biggest problem was the unsafe drug use.imo.Before the Law changed I had witnessed a few times groups of young men who would start vandalizing the outside of the building.( i was fascinated, so visited my friends a few times) We couldn't call the Police, there was no protection in those days.Thankfully there is now. -cont-

  • i've sent you links before. i've sent you documentation. i speak about decrim.

i really really think that it is dishonest of you to continue to speak as though we are speaking about legalization.

i will send the links to you again. read them or don't....but the information on what i am speaking about is there.

you may want to post them in your underbar section of this video so people can do the research as well, as i am unable to post links in comments.

  • Yeah the 'don't talk about us without us' thing is annoying. True, it stands to reason that you want all the players in an issue. But that doesn't mean that you are REQUIRED to do so. As if you need a hooker to sign off on your opinion on prostitution. Do I need to talk to pro baseball players or owners to have an opinion on steroid use? They should also heed their own advice and talk to politicos, lawyers, and elected officials for THEIR opinions on how the law works and how communities are run

  • @HeavyTrafficAhead So you're arguing for an uniformed opinion?

  • @DarkSideOfWinter Do I need to have a personal chat with President Obama before I comment on his policies? That's in case you didn't get the point of the post. I also don't like the attitude from the 'usual suspects' that I need their approval before I state my opinions on this matter. From what I've seen they're opinions are VERY uninformed & self serving when it comes to subjects such as regulation of commerce, politics, and law.

  • @HeavyTrafficAhead I did a video for you. Nothing harsh, hope you watch it when it's up

  • @DarkSideOfWinter just send me the link

  • @HeavyTrafficAhead watch?v=qqEJksFHRI8

  • @HeavyTrafficAhead Then your opinion is invalid. after all you're nothing more than an internet nobody by your standards with nothing to add. Keep them to yourself in future is that's how you feel about this forum

  • Yep that's why I gave up being friends with MRAs I am the majority's worst nightmare. I refuse to cowtow to people Thank you for saving my soul :)
