I like the Samsung intercept. Not all touch and it's cheap. The optmas is better for like gaming and miltasking. But when it comes down to anger birds they both do the same. And web using. So I would get the samsung intercept

obviosly if the optimus is on froyo and the intercept is on eclair your gonna have better results with the optimus you cant compare phones that arent on the same level its an automatic win for the one with the better upgrade (7:38)

@Rasheenification not necessarily. having a better version of the OS does not mean the performance will automatically be better. Even with Android 2.2 and having a processor clocked at 200MHz faster than the Optimus the Intercept still runs slower.

The Optimus V has a GPU.. the Intercept does not.. that is why the graphics are not laggy on the Optimus.

@myableu Before Android 2.2 got pushed to the Intercept i would have to say the Optimus V. I am testing the Intercept on 2.2 for everyday use now. The update has improved performance a lot more than I thought it would.

I had the intercept and ended up leaving Virgin because of it. Its total junk. Very VERY VERY VERy (did I say VEry) underpowered and slow. Its ridiculous. I am a sucker for physical keyboards so I ended up going back to GSM (and paying for it :( )

Nothing is perfect. It basically boils down to how much you care for a physical keyboard. I personally am a sucker for physical keyboards. That being said, if you can handle a virtual keyboard, everything I have read/seen so far suggests that the Optimus is far superior to the intercept, even at 600 Mhz.

Don't kid yourself though. BOTH those devices are very much entry-level. They get the job done, but you can't compare them to say an LG G2x or a Thunderbolt.

I mainly want the intercept for its Physical-K but not if its getting bad rep from people who own it :/ What i really want either of the 2 phones for is to listen to music with a bit of battery life and durability i can adapt to a Vboard the only problem with those is if the screen breaks im shit outa luck with anything but voice command lol

Actually I don't think that's true because the Intercept runs something close to Touchwiz so unless VM changes the phone to stock Froyo it won't get the green slide lock screen. If they keep the same overlay of Eclair on the Intercept, that is.

First off, the green slide unlock screen is a part of stock Android 2.2. While being close to it, the Intercept does not have stock Froyo, so it will not get the Optimus's lock screen. I needed a physical keyboard so I chose the Intercept but if you're fine with Swype and the Android keyboard, definitely ge the Optimus.

@ThePhonePerson The Intercept should be getting Froyo next week if Virgin Mobile stays on schedule. So next week it will have the stock froyo lock screen.

@bboyzen1 It will get the lock screen because the is the stock Android 2.2 lock screen. However I will not get live wallpaper as far as I know. The intercept does not have a GPU.

@MARQ3Lheat between the two i would say the optimus v. its $50 cheaper and have a GPU. Even with the Android 2.2 update the Intercept will never render graphics like the optimus v.
