  • 40 year old virgin and blades of glory, guess he fell prey to the hollywood paradox lol

  • This is some old school shit. I was barely in elementary school. ...

  • the isley brothers..for the love of you

  • the sample is for the love of you by the isley brothers

  • whats the sample ?

  • Hes my new favourite actor and singer ....soo classic

  • Man when is R.O.M goin back to weeds the show is shit without him

  • @leafsboy101 I was wondering why in the world did they take him off the show? I've really haven't been watching it. He's on abc now on this show called no ordinary family.

  • @stefjay1972

sweet thanks I just watched the show

  • @leafsboy101 you're welcome. He's really shown that he has another talent besides rapping. Some rappers just need to stick to rapping, but this boy can act. They relocated the family on weeds and I guess decided not to take the black people with them. And I haven't been in tuned in awhile. If it wasn't for Dexter I'd probably cancel my subscription to show time.

  • Get the hell outta here!!!I used to love them back in the day.....and are just now seeing this video for the 1st time in 15 years dayum near and had nooooo idea that was Roman Malco!! LOL!!!

  • hot beat...better used by tupac but nice beat never the less...ROM is crazy

  • @operabitch77 Better used by the Isley Brothers... ;)

  • Every time I see Romany Malco in a new movie or TV show, I think about this song and say to myself "This nigga didn't take his own advice...... he straight went Hollywood!" LOL! Naw, but anyway, I'm glad to see my nigga doing big thangs! I remember bumping "Radio Fusion Radio" back when I was in high school when I got my first car.

  • Holy shit I never knew that, even after watching the video again I didn't stop to think that he looks familiar. I had a friend growing up that looked like this dude and always thought of him when I saw the video. That's trippy.

  • Tru

  • Old School classic!!

  • This was my boy shit back in the day. I love this isley brothers sample.

  • Yeah, the lead vocalist is Romany Malco....a fine actor!!

  • I used to go to chabot with Raven The Producer Back in the 80 dekka, he used to bring his crates to the class room and I would tell him what to sample.

  • I used to love this song. It was very deep, and concrete. Didn't even realize that is the same dude from 40 year old virgin.

  • Classic! Love this song and the entire album! Good times!

  • lol he looks the same, rollin 20s who fucc dwarfs

  • @flamethagodd Say hi to being under30

  • I like how this foo is an actor now.!!

    hahahha!

    fuckit..!!

    Hollywood Paradox huh..!!

  • This video is so on point to the destructive spiritual nature of Hollywood.

Los Angeles the City of (fallen) angels who still wished to be viewed as (movie) stars.

Holly Tree, Holly Wood- look up the pagan origins of and who used it for what.

  • tupac twin

  • THIS IS AN OFFICIAL KLASSIK good memories

  • I wonder if Romany Malco would be a good choice to play Tupac in a biopic.

  • good idea :)

  • Hey can't. He already played MC HAMMER and Tupac was played by Lamont Bentley (Moesha) in the that Hammer story.

  • Don't see why that matters. Perhaps an explanation of your statement is in order? Besides, that MC Hammer movie was a TV movie.

  • The first rapper in the vid is from the show Weeds and 40 year old virgin.

  • No shit it says it in the info section

  • yo stop frontin and use ya head

  • Man, this is the CUT! I got this the day it came out just cause it looked good, and this song has stuck with me ever since.

  • Comment removed

  • Hollywood is not all that I don't know why people think its a big deal the actors are druggies, alcoholics and sluts

  • heeee

i know 2 pac had spittin on this beat ,but what the fuck

    who was first ??

  • So many things come together about this track.

    1) They didn't push THIS single as they did their debut single "Victim Of The Ghetto" (probably on coincidence considering how terrifying real and sad the content is). And so, being the underground advocate I was (and still am), I snatched up the single out of curiosity. It was one of the VERY FIRST singles released after Virgin's acquisition by EMI. And so, this is my VERY FIRST TIME seeing this video.

    (To Be Continued)

    > Professor DLC

  • 2) To me, "Hollywood Paradox" (one of the first songs to sample "For The Love Of You" -- probably THE first), is WAY better than "Victim Of The Ghetto". I have so many memories of when I was making "fat tapes" for myself with this track making the second or third one.

    3) I KNEW when I saw Malco recently (most specifically, when I saw his portrayal of MC Hammer in a TV movie -- he favors him BAD) that I knew him from somewhere. Who would have thought the COLLEGE BOYZ?

    > Professor DLC

  • fuckin' underrated! who also made track with this sample? can't remember..

  • hell yeah this the kid from 40yr virgin.he also played mc hammer in the vh1 movie too.

  • Squeaky d from the College Boyz produced a song for Chali 2na back in 93'. Check it out, its called Chali 2na - Raise Up (live at the Good Life)

  • hollywood paradox came out in 92

  • What does that have to do with squeaky D producing a song for Chali in 93?

  • I got their first cassette College Boyz. Green cover? Packed away. I used to jam to this in Berlin, Germany in the 90s and no one ever heard of them.

    Good old school

  • I've been trying to find this video forEVERRR. Thank you! I can't believe it's Romy...

  • me 2

  • I couldnt put my finger on it when I saw him in 40 year old virgin I knew he looked familiar and i just so happen to google College Boyz and it hit me......I still love this song. This was a summer 92 banger.

  • much better in storytelling than victim of the ghetto.

  • so ironic his profession now.... hahaha

  • I was thinkin about the College Boyz and how the black guy in the 40yr Old Virgin looked like him--it is him!! Haha! I'm happy 4 him. He's cute too. I had just got out of hi school (c/o '90), fun times!!

  • Damn, that IS him!!! You ain't never lied!!

    lol

  • @cuhills

LOL, same here. I seen Romany in a few movies and I was like, "Yo, this cat looks familiar. I know I seen him somewhere outside of movies." It wasn't until recently that I found out he was dude from The College Boyz. I remember them brothas from the early 90s.

  • does any1 know if tupac sampled this song to "bury me a G" on his resurrection cd? It's so weird that that is one of mah favorite songs on that cd and i find out that it's sampled off of romany. I didn't even know the dude from 40 year old virgin rapped. I was just lookin him up and said he was a top selling rap artist in the early 90's. But is this sampled from some1 before or is this the original?

  • yea dude this is original. they took this sample and put it in "bury me a G". i also know that 2pacs song "Staring Through My Rear View" have a sample of "In The Air Tonight" made by Collins Phil. but still... no matter what, 2pac is and will always be a LEGEND! we miss him all! RIP

  • Yo! MTV Raps dayz...

  • I remember when Video Jukebox played this constantly. There was a lot of truth in this song. The last verse killed me though:

"Living like an Oreo, riding on the white man's dick."

I hope he doesn't fall into the paradox.

  • thelonious1

    Wow... it's heavy.

    but it's true.

  • Mann This Cat Man Conrad He is the shit man went from a rapper to a Weed Chemist to being the 40 year old verson man what it do

  • It's kinda funny how this guy raps directly about the troubles of Hollywood, and now he's a successful part of Hollywood. He's certainly come a long way.
