  • baking just got 20% cooler

  • Thank you:) I just drew it by myself.

  • This is a great cake! Where did you get the template to print out?

  • aw that's so nice I wouldn't want to eat it because it is so beautifl!!!!

  • If it is too runny and difficult to handle, then just add more icing sugar until you get a good consistency. Applying crisco to your hands and tools while you work with the fondant is important, it gets very sticky.

This recipe makes a lot of fondant, you can keep leftover fondant in the fridge for a couple of months, just make sure you coat it with crisco so it doesn't dry up and seal tightly with plastic wrap. You'll probably just need half of this recipe for this cake.

  • You can make your own fondant, it's not difficult. I think 20$ for 2 lbs is a bit expensive.. You'll need 1 pound of marshmallows and 2.5 pounds of icing sugar. You melt the marshmallows carefully in a microwave along with 6 spoons of water, check it every 30 seconds to make sure it doesn't burn. It takes about 2 minutes. Then apply some crisco shortening to a mixing bowl(to avoid sticking) and mix the melted marshmallows with the icing sugar.

  • im going to make one of these for my awesome student teacher in spanish class. how much fondant will i need? also, i'm not sure where i could buy the fondant. i found some at PartyCity, but that was $20 for 2 lbs. is that normal pricing for fondant? i thought it seemed kind of expensive.
