what kind of amp are you playing it through? I went tube and every since I've been getting a ton more out of all my pick-ups. I really like the bridge for softer ambient sounds.
@Jakeistoocool143 naa its not pointless. if you like the look and feel of the strat, but not the sound, then changing the pickups is ideal. and i personally like a humbucker sound because its more full.
@Copilot24 I understand that but, honestly, there are 1000 guitars like the strat out there that are much more well suited for use with humbuckers for a better or comparable price.
@Jakeistoocool143 haha, well i dont think so. i havent played a single guitar thats even close to a strat. but like i said, thats just my personal preference.
hey man, i dig the rig. it is similiar to mine, only i use a 74 strat, a fuzz, a crbaby, and 212 deville amp. i cant tell your a cat who knows his shit about a good rig... not a bad picker either, you got rythym, you a groove. keep jamming man, i may post a video of my rig.
I would highly suggest the Jenson as an upgrade in the future. there are 4 '12 inch Jensons in my '59 Bassman and they sound great. I'm saving up to replace the FSD in my Blues Jr. with one. you should also consider sending your BD-2 to Robert Keeley to have it modified. it totally changes the sound of it into pretty much that of a TS-808. only 85 with free shipping.
Beautiful Strat man

wow man awesome playing. where did you learn those blues licks?
Copilot24 1 year ago
If you don't mess with the tremolo, I'd suggest hardtailing your strat (unless you havn't already) It makes bending and tuning so much easier...

@posiedonpowertrio how is it at all confusings, theres only 2 pedals....
Stefanrocks 1 year ago 6
@posiedonpowertrio- How is that confucing? Two pedals right into a combo amp... not exactly rocket science.

I bought exactly the same strat a few months back... awesome guitar but i hate the bridge pickup! Might change them to DiMarzio Area 67's

Atm im using a Marshall AVT50 combo... not the best amp but it does the job
jameskalas16 2 years ago
@jameskalas16 no dude. if you change the bridge pickup, go with a seymor duncan hot rails single coil. it gives you the sound of a humbucker
Copilot24 1 year ago
@Copilot24 lol nah, im a dimarzio fan. Appart from that i want a vintage sound from my strat, got plenty of ibanez's with humbuckers in anyway

@Copilot24 What is the point of getting humbucker tones from a strat? So pointless.

but people pick up a guitar because they can relate or because they love the sound of 1 kickass muscian.
you always have to be able roll back onto your comfort zone when your playing.

wow. I was really impressed. did you take lessons? or did you learn on your own?

the keeley mod does not turn the BD 2 into an 808 whatsoever. Its got its own thing going for it, and while good, its NOT an 808 sound.
