  • Hazelmeijer? Never heard of that brand before ;) I only know Hagemeijer, but to me the board looks like Holec.

  • would this work driving a 7.5 HP FS motor on 240 VAC?

  • what do u use it for? lol i mean u just look at it

  • sir rodal can he drive that motor a 250kva generator dynamo ???

  • what did the gear on the shaft use to turn ?

  • @cristian3131 Automatic muslim castration machine.

  • @madisonelectronic nice, hope he gives us a demo :))

  • How is the line voltage in a three phase system 415V, since the phase voltage is 230V?

Line voltage is phase voltage multiplied by √3, this being 230V*√3= 398V~ 400V

  • @cortexedge

To me it looks like a 240V Australian style plug. That would explain pretty much everything. Maybe he just made a typo. and it is 240V/415V.

  • @cortexedge You are correct, the line voltage used is 230 Volts. The motor nameplate rating is 415 Volts, which means that 240 Volts should ideally be used.

The motor runs fine on 230 Volts.

  • i've always liked the sound of motors starting up

  • нереально!

  • Whoa, don't electrocute yourself partner!!

  • @StRuMzNdRuMz Thanks for your concern, I take caution.

  • check unsere haus klingel vs 230v xD

  • hi

Like in this video, I tried to couple stators in open-star and the results are not as good as coupling in delta with the permanent capacitor in parallel to one of the self of the stator. On some low power motors (0.5 HP), I am even forced to start the rotor manually otherwise it don't start. This problem don't appear with the coupling in delta and the motor gives more mechanical power than with the open star-coupling.

Is open-star really efficient with high power motor only ?

  • @abaddon1337 I run this motor in half open star. The starting torque is less than in delta which is correct.

I just wanted to try this arrangement out as I know that the delta set up works.

  • What kind of amp draw are you getting at startup and while running?

  • This motor about 4 Amps at 240 Volts

  • Great motor sounds good is it heavy it freewheels so long after shutdown

  • @lad360 I'm sure it is, squirrel cage rotors are almost solid metal.
