  • go look french version svp, she is beautiful !

  • Wow! It's the best Verona!

  • Affreux.......arlequin....!!!!!!!

  • nul qui a oser deformer une si bellle chanson française je prefere en français

  • NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOO!!!.. Io dico no!

  • Have you the lyrics?

  • C'est quoi cette merde. Une si belle chanson franson francaise.

Porcs d'anglo-saxons, faites quelque chose par vous même, pour une fois.

Ca me fout hors de moi ces conneries.

And for those who dont understand french. Plagiased version. Anglo-shit

  • @Draksen Yeah, we all know it sucks, they changed the whole lyrics and the voice quality of the singer is not like the original one, just don't take that personally... They do with japanese and spanish (the languages, not the countries) songs too. Try to look for the spanish version of this song, the translation is quite the same, though not the quality of the sound (I mean the Mexican version, don't know if there's another besides that). By the way, I'm not a native English speaker anyway.

  • Do you know where to get the lyrics for this?

  • and the lyrics?

    bye

  • who sings this english version? :)

  • Where can I find the lyrics? I tried looking them up with YouTube but I didn't find them.

  • OMG, this song sounds sooo funny, since i'm used to the Japanese version :P. After you've seen that version you'll think the rest are rather dull, no offense though to the other groups.

  • I was gonna say that this would never work.. but it did^^ I hope the words have the same meaning as in the french version?

  • does anyone have a link for a full english version?

  • zseeer

  • magyar a legjobb ez elég gyenge itt hiányzik az élet:( valahogy nem jön át nem érzem hogy a fillinget

  • @saiyajins27 ez igaz bára számok jobbak mint a magyarokké

  • Wow I LOVE this!

  • I love this one but the hungarian beats all :D + a really hot Tybalt is in the Hungarian version :D

  • I'm francophone, and this version is, to me, the good version.

  • Sorry, not subtiles but "lyrics" =)

  • It's inglish subtiles with french video ...

I love the french version =)

  • Very good!:-D I'm alfraid... I can't said other in English.xD

  • woooh! :D

    5*

  • it is a fantastic version of verona

  • Thank you for sharing the video, I really love it!

  • In Verona, come to Verona, The population is unique

Nobody turns the other cheek, The hate keeps flowing in our veins

Hate is more powerful than chains, No wonder danger's in the air

    The enemy is everywhere...

    In Verona

  • In my Verona, perfect Verona, Two families with an ancient grudge

That all their praying cannot budge, An endless battle of two foes

And neither one can find repose, As families swim against the tide

Come meet some people who reside, In Verona, charming Verona

This one is called Benvolio, And that's his friend Mercutio

These two are always in accord, But here comes Tybalt with his sword

But in this town I am the law, It's tough 'cos everyone's at war

    ...

We are too wild to be controlled

  • On the surface all is well, Heaven on earth it would appear

A second look and you'll see hell, It's no picnic to live here

Maybe the wound's too deep and raw, Archaic wounds take long to heal

And Montague's and Capulet's, Seem to thrive on their ordeal

What tragic price must we pay, For bad blood to be washed away?

It's all too sad to contemplate, And it's all because of hate

  • This is Verona, you're in Verona, Where hatred is a way of life

And you can cut it with a knife, The hate keeps flowing in their veins

It is more powerful than chains, And they are scared to turn their backs

It isn't prudent to relax, Not in Verona, lovely Verona

The population is unique, Nobody turns the other cheek

When will they get it in their heads? Their dreams will never leave their beds

Until there is some compromise, And peace illuminates the skies

    In Verona

  • If you think you've seen it all, Then you had better think again

Don't care how many books you've read, Or how many lands you've seen

You're still not prepared for this, Don't be misled by pretty girls

Or flowered gardens everywhere, You'll soon see what I mean

The family called Capulet, Will not forgive and can't forget

And the family called Montague, Is as unforgiving too

  • also nice, i like it in every variation :D

  • This is good, but I prefer the German version... could someone tell me the Name of the Movie?? Or if it's Romeo and Juliette, the version?? It looks awesome!!!

  • Интересная версия, сильно отличается от оригинала, но от этого не менее прекрасна!

  • This song is good, but if you know this song in other languages you will prefer those!

I think they should have kept the sound in the original way...

  • @KarpfenKarpfen I know the french and german versions, but this is the best by far (in my oppinion)

The whole Musical is just beautiful

  • Yeah, the musical is great! But I dont understand why English people can't just keep it the way it was! Other countries dont change it either, why do the English people always somehow make this piece of music to their own?

and I prefer the German one!!!! Teachers made me hate French in school...

  • Pas mal, en anglais .

  • thnak you very much! that version is exelet!

  • I love the French version, but this one is good too, to be honest i was expecting something worse xDDD

    Luv that musical

  • i ADORE the french version, but for what it is, i don't think this is too bad. i kind of like it. lol.

is it tybalt that sings "I am too brave, I am too bold"? or is that mercutio?

  • wow man it is amazing!

  • omg the french version is WAYYYYYY better!!!

  • The French version gives me goosebumps, but this one doesnt :<

  • aaa ok la façon dont tu le demandes on dirait que tu voudrais savoir la traduction d'aimer. ^^

Désolé, je ne sais pas =$

  • it's love in English.

  • Could anybody send me the songs from the musical in English and in German, pls!!

  • Edit:

He is also the lead singer of this song, you can hear the prince singing "In this town I am the lord, it`s tough that everyone`s at war!"

  • *____*

    omg what is this?!

    is this a movie?

    this scenes aren`t from a musical~

    waah romeo is HOT!!

  • trinchen it is the french videoclip from the song from the musical with the english song on it

  • @Trinchen911 This is a music video of the song "Verone", which is indeed from the French musical "Romeo et Juliette", composed and written by Gerard Presgurvic. The audio is the English version of the song, called "Verona".

And yes, Romeo is very hot. :D

  • Hey dude please cand u send me this version??? Maybe we can make an exchange, I have musicals in other languages, like the lion king, etc... Please!!!

  • I very like french version, but english version is also amazing:)

  • is that video just "made for the song", or are the scenes it taken from a film ??

  • made for the song

  • No it is the french clip for the musical comedy "Romeo et Juliette"!

The better version is in French and the original too!

  • now i finally know what this is about,, i always tought the girl was named verone xD who is the guy in the bleu cape btw??

  • the one at the beginning, playing chess?

no that`s Escalus, the prince of Verone.

Tybalt is the one that kills Mercutio on the stairs (2:30); the one with dark-blonde curls :3

  • a magyar jobb:D :P

  • but it's not completely different...only a little bit...=)i like drama in this song=)))but boys probably don't like drama, coz girls usually disturb guys with these things=)))))))))

  • I love this song, but in Russian version is the best .....

  • Oh, I love it! <333 I'm german, and I like this song in German, but this is... just perfekt! 2:44 is my favourite moment^^ I don't have enough words to describe how I love it! *_*

  • do you have the lyrics of this song?

  • ebben is a magyar a best xD hihetetlen, de tényleg! :D

    watch?v=SFVUH9jXuEs

  • Anyone know where to find a translation of the French Lyrics? This song gives a good idea of the song, but its still pretty cheesy. lol

And is the guy with white hair fate? And what about the blue cape? is he the prince?

  • Yes, the man with white hair is Fate. The man wearing the blue cape is the Prince of Verona.

  • please tell me who sings this version and what´s the name of the song, beacuse I can´t find it , and I really like it

    xoxo

  • I like the french version better. The french singer has a nicer voice. maybe im just to used to ear the french version it feels weird in english hehe

  • Sorry Semedik that the corrections are in different answers, but I lisen for each one alone.

Sees Verona = This is Verona ;-)

  • Never mind : D

    Thanks for help : D

And have you got any idea about the "mislet" and the "garns" ?

    I listened it again...

But my ears had not improved anything since the last listening.... XD

  • Comment removed

  • I tried it :D

Where I wrote words between the two "+"

It was because i dont know /cant hear what was the word exactly..

so I wrote down what i heard...but there can be anything else :D

  • If you think you've see it all

Then you have better think again

Dont care how many books you read

Or how many lands you see

You still not prepared for this

Dont be +mislet+ by pretty goods

    Or flower +garns+ everywhere

You soon see what I mean

  • The family called Capulet

Will not forgive and cant forget

    And the family called Montagu

    It is unforgiving too

    +sees+ Verona

    Youre in Verona

Where hate is a way of life

and you can cut it with a knife

The hate keeps flowing in their +base+

  • base = veins ;-)

  • I think it is flower gardens ;-)

  • Flower gardens?

    Yeah : D okay : D

There is only one more : D

    Thanks again :D

  • Anybody have lyrics for this?

  • write it down when you lesson it :)

    He speaks really nice :)

    easy to understand :)

  • Wow, this version is just so ... strange ^^"

I mean, it's not that bad but I really prefere de french version who's in my mind the best <3

  • hm, I miss the power in his voice. Personally I do not like the French version at all so I find it not that bad but my favorite is still the Austrian cast. Thanks for sharing though! Alsways like to watch other versions :o)

  • Do you know if there is a DVD from this musical? And if so can yout tell me where i can get it?

  • As far as I know they made only the French version DVD

  • Do you know where to get the french DVD?

The french version is a million times better than this.

  • Try Amazon, eBay or such

  • @Purplepanda1212

If you haven't found it yet, there is a German site called soundofmusic.de you can translate it by pressing the English flag at the top if you don't speak German. Then look up: DVD Roméo & Juliette - Original Paris Cast (RC 0). (It's the first DVD that comes up). Sorry if you already have it though :)

  • @Purplepanda1212 on amazon.com and i totally agree with you !

  • @xAniAnix There is also a Hungarian DVD... that's my favorite production.

  • @annony11 Do you know where I can find the Hungarian version in DVD?

  • @OlgaRavanel They sell it in some music/video stores here in Budapest. No idea where to get it outside of Hungary.

  • This version is fine, but it doesn't carry the same strength as in French... I like the French Prince better (he looks scary but i love his voice x) )

  • I totally agree with you. Monsieur Charter is just fabulous as the Prince. I adore his voice - "Verrrone" ;-)

  • This is so weird in English... I didn't even know they had an English version.

  • The English wasn't the best version. I prefer the French and Dutch, even though I can't understand what they're saying. The mood of the song tells you what it's about, anyway.

  • it's good but origianal is more tragic

  • in my opinion the english version is better than the french...

  • your opinion is far for the norm.

  • Do you know who sings this version? And do you have any more songs from this musical in English?

  • I've got only this one. And have no idea who's singing :(

  • Comment removed

  • Ca change de la version française, c'est spécial, mais très beau

  • It is really the cheapest version. English language only help to understand the song.something that I enjoy is the music not the song because it associate with the other version that really better than it.

  • totally agree that. I love the french and the russian version

  • the french one is more powerful than the english one, but it still awesome

  • I agree, this version is not bad at all, but the French one is the best.

  • Agree

  • IT s good version but i think the best its the french version

  • no problem

  • hey can you tell who sing this song?? because is fantastic!!!

  • this song called viva verona

  • thank you :D

  • yay i haven't heard this version yet

  • I like French anв Russian versions more. But this one is okay

  • This is a good version.

  • the french one is way better!! D:

The french lyrics are actually verry different....my first language is english but i like the origional french one!!

  • It's really different to the german version, but the translation of the lyrics is better for the musical and the story

  • etrange la version anglaise de cette chanson mais bonne pareille ^^

  • pretty good!! never listened to it before!! I'll find other english songs of this musical!

  • are you sure?! sendme the links pleas or the songs:P

  • Did you find any links?

  • Fits quite good. ^_^ Thanks you very much for uploading and making this. ;D

  • Somebody know, the what is the english aimer-s name??

  • In my Verona, perfect Verona Two families with an ancient grudge That all their praying cannot budge An endless battle of two foes And neither one can find repose As families swim against the tide Come meet some people who reside In Verona, charming Verona This one is called Benvolio And that's his friend Mercutio These two are always in accord But here comes Tybalt with sword But in this town I am the law It's tough 'cos everyone's at war
  • What's a PM?

  • private message

  • "You can cut it with a knife"

    ???????

Worse than the Notre Dame de Paris translations. It just sounds so corny and stupid, uh, Shakspere wouldn't be happy.

  • WHY DID THEY CHANGE IT?

    French is the best.

  • Do you have the song??, May you send to me???

    Pleas

  • It's the hardest version to find, seeing as how much people dislike it. ^^

    Though send me a PM.

  • I like the french one

  • I love these song's but the people that don't should find other things to do than insult these people singing

  • To be honest, I like every version i've heard.

French is definetly my favourite though.

  • Does anyone know where I can get the english versions of these songs? :(

  • I think the guy who sings is very good but the song alone in english is ****.

  • sendme the lyric and song please:P

  • The Russian and the French versions are better. :)

  • The French and Hungarian version are the best. I like Romeo et Juliette, but other versions are very shit. :S

  • i like the rusian and hungarian version

  • You're totally right v_v

The german one is quite fun (but a bit ridiculus) but this one is.. weird o_o

  • I translated this song in an other way! I hate this tranlsation. I cant belive they rhymed Benvolio and Mercutio. Stupid.

  • bnelive me, you dont want these lyrics. they are atrocious!!!

  • I dont agree but respect differences of opinions.

  • Hmm.. interesting. I like this song much better than other ones adapted from their French versions, probably because they actually branched out :D. Thanks for putting this up!

  • Does anyone know where I can Download the english tracks of this?

  • gnah the german version is much better oO

i'm going to listen to the french now. hope it is better than this crap here -.-

  • i lloovvee it

  • does anyone know who made juliette's dress? it is fabulous.

  • nice song, i like it.

i saw the french version but didnt understand a single word so i like this better :P

I'm supposed to sing it solo in a few months, the problem is I can't sing.....

    help??!

  • this is the original englist text or is it a translation?

  • It's a translation. The original is French.

  • original english text, the original version's lyrics are completely different

  • I think the german version is the best :D

    I love this song *-*

  • So bad...yet so funny xD The rhyming is hilarious!

  • Does anybody know if there are other songs of the english version on Youtube?

  • THIS IS WEIRD!!! I like the French version.

  • hey :)

I know the english, the german and the frech version, and I have to say: it's great, and the language is.. is not important to me anyway ;D

    i love this song :)

    I'm austrian

  • you have the reason'its different but nice.i'm french

  • It's diffrent, but nice. Though I prefer the french and dutch version. That ones are more up-tempo, I like that better.

  • Yeah, it starts going weird at 2:30..."this one's called benvolio, there's his friend mercutio"?

  • "It's no picnic to live here"? Hmm...the song's better in French. But still, this is cool.

  • Wow, this is so different! They even changed the musical arrangements. I can't exactly say I like it, but I don't hate it either. The ending (Mercutio-Tybalt part) was quite interesting. The lyrics are pretty cool too, but I have to say that the English language doesn't suit this tune.

  • well said, I think you've put into words how I feel about this as well.

  • Like the French version better, but I like the Prince's voice better in English than in French.

  • Yeah, it was so funny and strange a bit!:P

  • Sorry, but is there any videos of the English version?

  • Hey!! that was really cool! nice voices!
