  • Nice precision machining. However, I've recently heard about digital fabrication technology and rapid prototyping machines that can output patterns directly from a 3D CAD model. Are you folks going to adopt digital fabrication (aka "additive" manufacturing)?

  • @Roberto01GM its both a good and bad technology.

Good: press a button walk away for a few hours.

Bad: Poor resolutions/Tolerance. (.1 increments i think it was last time I heard)

Good: good for one off jobs, with no Modifications.

Bad: Cannot be modified, unless put into another machine to modify it.

Bad: At the moment, can only print a special type of plastics, (a few different kinds, cheap and brittle, or expensive and... not flexible, but not brittle)

  • Genius - really brilliant stuff

  • Hi! Ich suche einen CNC Fäser für einen Project - das ist nur ein oder zwei Teile was können Sie mir empfelen, gibt es Firmen, welche arbeiten mit Privatpersonen - wie Lohnarbeit oder so?

  • ..and I was thinking of getting myself a conventional woodlathing machine..?? IIImpressive!!!

  • so the only thing is to create 3D model, and machine will do the rest. As many times you want

    incredible..

  • Cool video. What CAM software do you use to program?

  • Jeez... how would one of those babies cost!

  • Who wrote the post for this machine?

  • why doesn't the head make a spiral all the way arount in s simo 5 axis motion. Machine limitations or CAM software?

  • neat.

  • Cool

  • I am sorry, I d like to give you +1 not minus :-(.

  • Hmm i recognize that! That would be the model i drew and got you guys to run. Nice to see you think its good enough to demo your machines capabilities! lol

  • theres a lot of people that have some great ideas,as this technology becomes more affordable,we will be seeing some exciting new products

  • are there any shapes this machine cannot cut? assuming it was provided with an appropriate 3d model, could it carve a bust of lincoln?

  • The bust of lincoln would not be a problem to machine.
