@arniemazmax Check out JustinSandercoe's 6 part lesson on how to play the song. It can tackled by most any average player with enough dedication. I am nothing more than "average" and I can play it. Took many hours spent over a considerable period of time, however, I can play the whole thing. Not as cleanly as privettricker, but it just may come some day. And, if I ever do, I just may buy the video equip to post, but not b4 replacing my $1500.00 Martin with something much better.

@arniemazmax Martin v. Taylor is probably a matter of personal preference.I've been told by some who played many of both brands, that Taylors sound pretty much the same once you get up to a certain price range. Play a lot of them b4 forkin' over 3k. Ck the martin website. You could get their guitars new @ 65% of their MSRP from most any dealer. Even 50-60%, if you're at the right store at the right time. So, if you're shellin' out 3k, that's a 4.6k guitar at 65% off MSRP, that will last forever.

@lalalandslide I believe he first slides onto low E 5th fret then hits 3rd fret on the A string. Then slides to 7th fret on the A string, then hits the 5th fret and then 3rd on the A and back to the A power chord.

Ah, Stairway. I was in AC a lot of years back, there was a "lounge act" at the bar. I pulled out my lighter and yelled Stairway. They played it. This is one song a lounge act should never play.

I disagree,85% in an audience don't play an Instrument,if you make a mistake usually it's not noticed. Ifyour part of the 15% that can play,and are listening to see if you make a mistake, then of course we should leave it to Led Zepplin. @MegaWowers Yes, a D41. Jimmy likely used a Harmony Sovereign for the original recording. He got his D28 in '71, but I'm pretty sure I've read an interview where he said he used the Harmony for this one.

@RS1Comedy1Vids I did a play-along version and that was denied. But for this one, I wore headphones so I could hear the song, but only had my own guitar being recorded. I'm thinking they can't block somebody who just sits there and plays a song all alone. If they did that, I imagine half the content on YouTube would be blocked.

Having said that, the world would probably be a better place if they blocked all versions of Stairway from YouTube -- including mine.
