  • Elmo killed everything not just sesame street.

  • Seseme Street was ahead of time; other kid shows like Zoobillee Zoo, Mister Rodgers Neighbor Hood, Reading Rainbow, Barny and Friends, Dora The Explorer and Go Diego go trying to only focus on kids but SS was different by teaching lessons for kids and being cute and adorble but at the same time it managed to find that balance for adults for pop culture parody like this song parodying Great Balls of Fire by Little Richard.

  • Watching this in honour of Jim Henson's 75th birthday

  • 0:52 "You get some music and you hire a whore!"

  • He broke the piano.

  • @adamssean6494 It's okay. Nat is bringing another one!

  • Little Chrissy, why do you have to get the lyrics to this song wrong?

  • No, it's "Goodness Gracious, Great Balls of Fire!"

  • I bet his shows cause riots.

  • Man, you guys are right, Sesame street was so much better back in the day. I was born in 1990 And had a couple vhses that had this song on it, along with a shit load others that are in my favorites right now. And I agree with everyone here. Elmo destroyed the amazingness that Sesame Street used to be. I personally Stopped watching when The Cookie monster started eating oatmeal cookies...But I still love the Count, and Lambaba WOO

  • How to congratulate him: DO NOT say "Gimme 5" or "gimme 10"; instead, hold both thumbs on the palm, so that only FOUR fingers are up on each hand. OR: hold all five fingers up on one hand, and just three on the other, and beam: "ALL RIGHHT, GIMME 8!"

    o x-D

  • Goodness, gracious, great vids of fire!

  • This was one of my favorite Sesame Street bits when I was little! I can't believe I found it here!!!! =D

  • I looked for it and i cant believe i found it! lol CLASSIC!

  • 1:09 - "I'm having a fit!"

  • i love the annotation. this is really how sesame street was before elmo killed it. it was so much FUN! I love the classic stuff

  • @barelyrisque come on, what's the problem with elmo?

  • I used to love this, especially the ending. lol

  • Aaaahhhhhh, that right, I remember - he always did wind up breaking his pianos!! All that jamming on the keys! Rock on Chrissy!

  • I remember this on a videotape I used to have. My Mom made us skip this part because she taught us that "rock & roll is of the Devil". She still believes that.

  • lol.. hey fellas... bring in the next piano

  • The pianist muppet always reminded me of Elton John somehow XD

  • @sagesaria Me too!

  • 1) I was born in 1995, and this is one of my favorite segments of Sesame Street. So I've seen a lot of classic segments

    2) Elmo never ruined Sesame Street. What I hate is that they replaced a bunch of the old monsters with newer crappy monsters. Frazzle used to be my favorite monster, and I loved the two headed monster. I haven't seen them on Sesame Street for years. Now they have a stupid fairy thing.

  • "For those out there born after 1995, this is what Sesame Street was like before elmo came along and killed it. "

I was born in 1992, and so if I'd wanted to watch the Sesame Street I would not have had any chance to watch the classic Sesame Street.

But the only thing I had known as a child was a video with a kind of a "best of" of the classic Sesame Street, like the "fishy fishy" episode, or some things like that which wasn't too much, ..

  • ..now I watch the classic Sesame Street videos with my little brother, and maybe because I'm older now, I'd "informed" myself more about the sesame street, and searched for more, and I have to say that you're absolutly right about the "elmo thing"..The Sesame Street was much better in the older days, and not only in the musicial way, but in everyway..

Is there any chance to get some kind of classic Sesame Street Seasons ? Would be great if it is..

(sorry for my english, but I'm german..)

  • your english is very good! we can easily understand every word u said!

  • Uh. They have Sesame Street: Old School Volumes 1 & 2...and Follow that Bird...thats about it :P

  • hey elmo was great

  • RT: believe it you can turn this vid into an mp3 or mp4 on that site mp4ify. search on any search engine for mp4ify! killer!

  • his hair always made me want shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1:09 I cracked up

  • I agree with you on 1:09. He's into the music so much that he's playing the piano with his head! Beat THAT, Don Music! ;-)

  • ohhh I use to love this and still freaking do XD

it's was when Sesame Street was good not like now where it is dumbed down it seems

  • This was before Sesame Street got all politically correct and dumbed itself down for the 2000's along with all the other kid's shows that actually treated kids like thinking humans.

  • @Regerasi Damn right!!!

  • I like the way he breaks the piano

This guy is Jerry Lee Lewis plus Little Richard

  • Jerry Lee Lewis + Little Richard + Chris Cerf = Little Chrissy!!

Agree with the comment on the piano breaking.

  • I remember being in second grade (and I was born before 1995) and Elmo's World was pretty new... I asked if anyone liked Sesame Street and they said, "No, Elmo's World is the only part worth watching." So I think there's a kid appeal that Elmo has that Adults don't get.

And besides, it looks like the new producer is laying off on the Elmo Overload.

  • That's because by that time Sesame Street was well on its way to being the watered down crap it is today.

  • But those kids had grown up with the older version, without the Elmo overdose, and they didn't like it as much until Elmo was added. Explain that.

  • I was born in 1995 of the 28th day of June! And My name is Luke!

  • Now this is a classic Muppet skit, isn't it? By the end the main performer looks a bit startled by the weird outcome but quickly shakes it off.

  • I love your description for this video! Well explained :D

  • It's HILARIOUS when you rock so hard that you break the freakin' piano in half!!! LOL XD

  • OMG! i remember ahaha :)

  • Goodness gracious! This Jerry Lee Lewis parody gets me rockin'!! Little Chrissy's piano playing is wild and exuberant, like his personality. Near the end, did he just pronounce "piano" as "pian-ah?"

  • Now this takes me back to when I was little..THANKS!

  • AHH. I have this on the video Elmo's Sing Along Guessing Game. Good timessss.

  • Wow, that was a trip down memory lane!

I used to love this so much when I was kid.

The balls of fur were so cute and I loved this song.

  • Eat your heart out, Don Music ;)

  • i remember this. i hardly put the show on for my kids cos its rubbish now. what the hell is he doing at 1:08 or so. spazzin out on his pian-ah?

  • This is from Sing Yourself Sillier At The Movies.

  • Yuck! Those cute little fur balls!

  • You're right IBstoned. I hate Elmo, he has no human and/or adult sensibilities, nor any of the insanity that these characters used to produce. Elmo is like the wasp that lays its eggs in the head of an ant- and that any was Grover...

  • I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree, before Elmo came,Sesame Street was everything, fun, music and memories, now, most skits in today's Sesame Street is alllll about Elmo...he never says I or me,he just...I don't know..

  • I agree with you in your description. I was born in 1985 and this is what I grew up with. Now I watch Sesame Street and I hate it because Elmo has taken over! I liked it better when he wasn't so popular.

  • I love their little dancing legs, too cute! ^_^

  • heeeeey, i was born in 89, and i like the classic clips like this AND elmo.

  • Zomg. This reminds me of the Batty Bat song.

Back when the Count was awesome. xD

  • OMG! THIS IS SO FUNNY! LOL!

  • Chris Cerf is amazing!

  • I laughed so hard from 108 112 banging his head on the piano LOL HA HA HA HA

  • i saw dis when i was 4 and i got scared

  • y man

  • OMG I need that laugh today thanks!

  • lol. love this!

  • hey krystel :)

  • hey nolly!

    what's happpenin'? =P

  • Haha!! that's so funny how he breaks the piano I love that :D

  • I have always loved this song!!! I've been looking for it everywhere!

  • WOW!! I REMEMBER this!!!

They aired it once in 1999 and I remember wondering why they didn't show this kind of stuff more often...

  • hahaha! where can I get one of those balls of fur??

  • I want one there soo cute ! :D

  • Yeah, I know, I want one too!

  • who wouldn't?? "they've got the beat and they've got feet!!" woohoo!! lol

  • HAHAHA Great balls of firrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Wow. I still remember this sketch! It's been a long time since I've seen it. I've always thought the whole thing was so clever, and the balls of fur were so well puppeteered.

    Proably my favorite SS sketch.

  • What do you think Jerry Lee Lewis would say about this clip?

  • HAHAHAHA XD that's hilarious xD i love the fur-balls xD

  • This dude must have some serious brain damage lol

  • TRIBBLES!

  • i love this song thanks for putting it on!!!!!

  • Little Chrissy should realise this song as a single. And they should reaise a album called Little Chrissy's greatist hits that would be ace. I like Little Chrissy when he says all right bring in the next piano. The balls of fur are so cute. I love this song it's a disco song because all the eights are flashing like disco lights.

  • wow. I remember this. Imagine if Don Music did one but with 10 balls of fur I wonder what it would be like. Little Chrissy rocks and the 8 balls of fur are so cute. It's like a disco because all the eights are flashing like disco lights. Love It. I love the bit when Little Chrissy says all rights felles take 8.

  • Those are the flimsiest keys i've ever seen lol.

  • I dunno. Best ever? I'm more of a "Capital I" guy myself. Come on... sing it with me! "We all live in a capital I..."

  • The Capital "I" clip you mention is available on YouTube if you search "Sesame Street Capital I." Someone even dubbed the same song into an identical video showing the letter "S" for some reason.

  • that's Elton Jon!

  • Ball #6 sure has a lot of energy.

  • Chrissy's piano playing always fascinated me.

  • Yeah in my opinon this is somthing that Don Music will play if he is enraged.LOL. I remember this when I was little. Stupid Elmo ruined it sence Sesame Street's 30th year.

  • he always destroyed his piano lol

  • Yeah. Don Music got more stress with lyrics and music. I think Don would break the paino twice as much than Little Chrissy. LOL

  • or his own skull when he bangs his head lol

  • I could pictured Don Music doing this. LOL
