As a boy in the 80's I enjoyed this show , along with She-Ra , Jem , My Little Pony , etc. My sister and I would watch them all together. It was the few times we agreed on something. lol

Good old cartoons from the 80s are not gender specific, I know guys that used to watch Jem and loved it! I say if you like something, then that's great!

Lap-dogs are a gay stereotype. Maybe he's alleging that pink lapdogs with hearts on them are REALLY gay. On the other hand, maybe he thinks she's hot and then is joking about being a straight furry. But really, this isn't overly feminine; just weird.
