Play the prequel, Unofficial Salamander 3, and you'll have a little clue as to how hard Gradius: The Dark Armada will be(but it's going be harder than that).
Umm... dude, the only version of Gradius: The Dark Armada that exists is this PROTOTYPE VERSION used in the Test Video. This is NOT A PUBLIC RELEASE! Or are you referencing Unofficial Salamander 3? I don't know, I'm quite edgy today, I can't comprehend things right.
Pretty cool. One thing you might want to do is fix the sound panning so that it doesn't completely mute the other side, only decreases the volume. Otherwise it makes it very uncomfortable to people that like to wear headphones such as myself.
It may be a little problematic, as I don't exactly know how to gradually change the sound balance in Game Maker 7 instead of it go all to the left speaker, all to the right speaker, or both at the same time. I'll look around for possible methods of changing the sound balance gradually instead of all in one shot.
faster and also the cores each time the loop goes higher the more tougher defense they have but it is like 30% stronger than before not like you did on your first version of this game the boss defense is like 75% tougher than it is ..... also some bosses does some new moves when you reach loop 2 to loop 10 some bosses shape changes like bigcore riv1.2 .... that's all what i know right now i'll give you more details soon ^_^
the stage get's a little different than before like more enemies more heavy fire that even the weakest enemy is shooting bullet hell .. the only normal enemy that i saw him doesn't shoots insanly on loop 10 or even return fire after you destroy it is the walking armor old enemy ..... the bosses moves changes they're not getting faster in moving they shoots more faster not all bosses ... some bosses shoots faster and some of them they're rapids fire is getting
I do have the ship-oriented effect(sparks, not visible), but I want to actually make everything seem realistic, so that you feel more "immersed" into the game. The effect will be eliminated in the 2-Player mode because then, it'd be just too much(the ship will go red instead).
how to did you makeing

Ability to be hit 20 times before dying? Plus a shield and lives?
You better make this game REALLY hard if you want there to be any sort of a challenge!
I like the way the ship explodes.

You'll have to wait a while; I'm having problems with the game engine, more specifically the sound panning.
Keep checking back, though, as I will demonstrate the Type A weapon setups for the 7 ships that are playable in Beta 1 in Test Video 2.

ok well about gradius v on loop 10 :

HA! Death sequence is TOO cool!
I find the red flash effects slightly overwhelming. I would recommend a ship-oriented effect like a spark or small burst.

Ok yeah, I was thinking Single Player, the effect is fine, but it would get too distracting in 2-Player.
