As i'll ready stated below this platform is a developers dream, XNA for 360-windows os- and wp7 all created with the same tools .not to mention how easy expression blend is to use.

@M1sterHamilton Microsoft has xbox live infrastructure already built as well as 10 years of experience in the trenches .The same XNA tools use to create games for xbox live is the same tools used for game on windows as well as wp7. apple can only dream of having resources like that.

Having games on a device that's not connected to other people or have the ability to send invites over the net is not perfecting. MS games will be able to to played on PC-Phone-360 and who know maybe tablets.

THANK GOD they didn't do a half assed job. This is going to stick on almost every type of consumer ranging from young to old. Unfortunately, they did a half-assed job on the zune HD after it was released. Is it possible to do a future firmware update to have it able to play these games, or does MS need to completely make a new device? I'm satisfied with my zune but the lack of gaming kind of disappoints me.

They'll need to make a new device. The original Zune HD specs are half the as good of what is required and the screen aspect ration/resolution hinders it from being compatible with WP7 apps. The Zune HD is great for what it is, a dedicated media player.

@wixostrix I here ya, I would love a zune HD2 with a wider screen or pretty much the same or better specs these new WP7 will have.

Even though zune is integrated into these new phones I still want a stand alone device for my monster music collection as well as apps and games,

But that might be wishful thinking, The standalone devices since zune 30 might have been just a test bed to build the infrastructure for WP7 and other cloud services coming.
