Even tough they'll have folks who work there , Christmas shop there, go to the clubs, football, skip the tax paying residents in the queue for local amenities and courses( Perth- not on our voters roll, from Dundee? - cheerio!) or pretend they are posh 'country' types or send their children High School of Dundee. Nice shots. The building behind the one in the Uni. Of Dundee is the Fleming building, gifted by James: grandfather of Ian, creator of 007 (Fleming Gardens, Dundee?) From jute to American riches- Ian, perhaps, wouldn't have made the Oxbridge set and fame if it wasn't for J. who never forgot to include Dundee. Hey, I'm seeing a lot of negative comments on Dundee as a city on a lot of videos about Dundee. Just wondering; is it really that bad? I'm thinking of studying in Dundee next year, so It'd be great to hear some views about Dundee. Anyone? :)

@Mjackflajj As an American who's only visited the city a few times, I must say I enjoyed the city more than any city except Edinburgh I visited in Scotland. Dundee has a youthful vibrancy a lot of cities in Scotland lack. I would encourage your studying in this city but then again I speak as a foreigner who only visited I never lived there.

@ikorodu0807 nah all i did when i bunked was annoy the security guards.. if you really want the ppl who give dundee a bad name try the younger generations who throw stones at a mentally handycapped woman then proceed to laugh as she cries at the pain...the handycapped woman in question is my older sister Rachel so i know what im talkin about.... oh and the younger gens are also really into kicking pregnant woman so they may misscarry...Don't believe me? Very thoughtful of somebody to post these views for the benefit of expat.Dundonians.

There are indeed a number of interesting if architecturally isolated buildings in Dundee. The sad thing is of course, that it has not been necessary for Dundonians to leave Dundee because Dundee has been leaving us those past decades. So much of Dundee's heritage has been knocked down. Today, the waterfront has been sacrificed to commerce. Supermarkets and Car Dealers on the choicest spots on the river front!
