  • Thanks for the backing track. does anyone know where i could get a backing track for yo mama i cant seem to find one anywhere.

  • @mrlespaul02 Your very welcome!

Im afraid that there are very few Zappa-backing-tracks existing today. I recorded all the instruments on this one myself to use it for rehearsals and uploaded it in case anyone else wanted it.

  • Holy shit.

i cannot express my gratitude to you for making this track.

    Thank you so much.

Now, permit me to shut up and play mah guitar!

  • @Karmoon7 You are very welcome! happy it gives someone joy.

    You are excused!

  • quality! good work that man. thanks for this EivinnLarsen, see you in about 3 days......maybe

  • @turistanocturno1970 Thank you! By three days you mean a video response? If so, im looking forward to that!

  • @EivinnLarsen haha no but i've been noodling away for about three days though, just got back, maybe i will put one up for a laugh so beware!!

  • @EivinnLarsen just uploaded a solo on your backing track......

  • quality! thanks for this, see you in 3 days......maybe

  • @jazzpsalti Thank you, that is appreciated, i am a guitar-teacher as well :)

  • thank you very much. This backing track is a very valuable teaching resource

  • Great upload mate. I'm having a lot of fun with this.

  • @maximumsatann Thank you!

  • Great!

  • Fantastic! C#minor, F#minor plus G#minor sevenths...only Zappa would choose thes chords for a wonderful blues and give it this title...a most beautiful sustaing note at the beginning.....PHILLIPPUSAURELIUSZAPPAPHILLIUSBARTONIUS!

  • @Petronius123456789 Agreed on all points! but the chords are actually C#minor7, F#minor7 and G7♯9 ;)

  • Many thanks. I have had to jam (numerous times) by firstly putting down a Yamaha clavinova keyboard track until now! The actual lead guitar is truly beautiful with that long sustaining note. I recall Frank saying in a radio interview that he hated classical music as in Mozart but he was always self-contradictory e.g. in "Peaches en Regalia" [HOTS RATS album] and in many other pieces the classical elements are all there albeit "unconsciously"? e.g. introduction, development, recapitulation etc

  • @EivinnLarsen Im sorry, G#7#9

  • @Petronius123456789 And you are so true, i love this chord progression because its blues, but less naive
