I have never read more idiotic statements in my entire time on youtube - they came directly from you. You have not a single clue about Croatian history.
11bbasdfghjkl, you are just a Serb with a big complex. It is not our fault that Turks wiped away the real Serbian identity and culture and left you with nothing but the desire to take everything that doesn't belong to you.
gusle and diple are real accint croatian instruments, that we have brought to europa 700 years before christ was born.
croatian roots are from iran. the old persian ras. iran has diple and gusle to.we have traveld from the old persia to europa and then we have found the land that now is called croatia. we were always know as the hrvats
It sounds so artificial when Croatians play gusle. They are anyway no real Croats, but poor converts trying to convert their original tradition also. It is pity that real Croatian tradition is being replaced by those fake things. Where are the nice songs from Zagorije and beautiful Croatian language from the hart of Croatia. Everything is now gone and replaced by Serbian music and language.
That is exactly what I'm talking about - converts. Listen to the sound, look at the atmosphere, the way people sing and last but not least look at the name of guslar. Nothing Croatian about it. Its all Serbian.
And things which he sings about, well as all converts he uses convenient words for those in power. The same as Serbian guslars have always did to get in way with Turks, Austrians, etc.
Mr. "11bbasdfghjkl", you feel threatened and vulnerable because you are not used to the power of Croatian gusle. Well, get used to it. Better now than later because the gusle will rule Croatia sooner or later as they did in the previous centuries. You are just a poor soul! One more victim of Serbian brainwashing. Wake up, man!
So if those are traditional Croatian, why there are NO gusle in real traditional Croatia, where the tradition is kept uninfluenced - for example Zagorje :-)
Gusle in Croatia are only there where Serbs live - precisely in Dalmatinska zagora, Krajina, Kordun, Banija, etc.
Btw. even nowadays, I have seen every Serbian house has gusle while newer heard about it in Croatian homes.
Come on people, if you, or your ancestors decided to become Croats its ok, but than embrace Croatian culture. Pls!
Stop being ridiculous! Zagorje is hardly a bastion of authentic Croatian culture. Just think of "tamburitza" - Turkish instrument ! If gusle in Croatia were present only where the Serbs lived how do you account for the fact that the strongest gusle tradition in Croatia is documented in the area where the Serbs did not live at all such as Makarsko primorje, Poljička republika, Duvno Region, Western Herzegovina - Posušje, Grude, etc.? No Serbs there !
Guys, don't get angry, told you I have nothing against converts. However, historically speaking Zagorje is the ONLY authentic bastion of Croatian culture. I know nobody there who can stand to listen this. And you say proud!?
Since you mention Serbs, of course there are none left - on the paper. They converted, but gusle and their language came with them. Especially in Herzegovina. One of the reasons I write in English is that you wouldn't understand real Croatian.
I know for sure that there are a lot of good people from Zagorje and Prigorje who are proud about Croatia and all other Croatians regardless from which region they come! So go and talk elsewhere your communist and pitty trash talk !! ZDS
It will be pretty hard to trace back bowed instruments back to that period - the fiddle bow was not known in Europe before 10th century - so it most certainly has neither Illyrian nor Serbian roots... ;-)
Bagpipes, in all it's different forms, have been around for some 2000 years in many different cultures anyway, so again it's a bit problematic to trace it back to one particular culture...
Bajiću, već stoljećima brojni mozgovi - književni povjesničari, folkloristi, etnolozi, muzikolozi, arheilozi istražuju podrijetlo gusala i nitko nije točno proniknuo u njihovu tajnu. Nitko!
Trnci čovjeka obuzmu kad to sluša.
