oh yeah,im a big fan of the mausers..it only took me once to shoot a deer with an 8mm to learn not to do that again.shot through shoulder,pinky hole in 8in hole out the other.that was soft tips.watched it barrel role a couple times through the scope.

6.5x55 is a lil milder then the 8mm flater shooting hits almost as hard and dont tear up as much meat

the lil rifle has served me well for 30 years

and has taken several truckloads of game for freinds and familiy that i let use it

i never heard the gun go off haha and the first time i pulled the trigger i buggered a between the eyes shot.....misfire second shot came bout 15 minutes later and it didnt take no more :)
