Emmet Till was murdered for supposedly whistling at a white women which she lied. Her husband and his brother murdered Emmet. The Murderers were both acquitted (years later they confessed to his murder never showing any remorse.). The hasty acquittal outraged people throughout the United States and energized the nascent Civil Rights Movement. Remember and learn from the past so we won't be doomed to repeat it's mistakes.
