Because way back in , say 1978, Ian Curtis of Joy Division (originally "Warsaw") was waaaaaaaaaaaaaayy before Interpol's, Paul Banks, (whose band I love dearly) with this "type" of emotional voice in a fucking great, very influential band. They lost their unforgettable front man and became New Order. Now, if there was one before him, who would it be? Look it up.........
