@DoCToRDoKinS There are 9 seasons, with each season containing approximately 24 episodes, so that is 9X24 episodes. Try getting NETFLIX, and watch it on streaming...it is the best.

The X-Files was a wonderful series, it really was, but god damn it, it started to tank around season four or five. I actually stopped watching the series by season 6.

The "Cigarette Smoking Man" (X-Files) and "G-Man" (Half Life) are very similar characters. You can say it's because of the mystery involved with each one that makes them seem similar. I literally did some research trying to determine if the G-Man was inspired by the CSM. I haven't found any solid evidence of it, but I'm sure it's a possibility that the G-Man was semi-inspired by the CSM if even just by his "mystery" as a character - maybe the Half Life writer wanted a character like that.

I know some of you guys are big fans of Value, but it's kind of obvious that G-Man is inspired by CSM.

G-Man was immediately compared with GSM by many when Half-Life first came out too.
