  • your style is awesome!! deep respect!

  • Cheryl! I love that you have such affinity for this music. I am from Venezuela too, and I think this shows us that we humans are much closer than we may think - kind of a human rather than national culture. Your soul is as Venezuelan as mine. :)

Just FYI, although you are right that their main purpose is domestic solo performance, these can indeed be used for actual dancing, but only then would a firm beat be needed.

  • Very very nice!! A flow of the music is very beautiful. (TS)

  • Whether authentic venezuelan or not, I found your interpretation lovely and excellent with lots of feeling and great phrasing with no loss of rhythm at all. Very charming. Thanks a lot for sharing with us! best wishes, w.

  • Thankyou Wolfgang. I have to say that I believe I have the mixture of rubato and rhythmic flow and drive perfect in this piece!

I am honestly my biggest critic normally, but I have to say that I am very happy with my interpretation of this piece.

  • it's a wonderful piece i had played, bravo, congrate, patrick

  • Thanks Patrick. It is a wonderful piece. Its a pity he didn't expand them into a 3 or 4 minute piece!

  • que gusto!!muy bien sra.dama!

  • Gracias!!

  • I think you play very well. But I think you break the rhythm too much :S excellent technique though, very clean.

  • Its a shame you don't like it. For me... any less rubato would make the music souless and sterile.... I cant imagine music without soul and passion.

  • I think it is a shame how you play it. You can introduce soul and passion without breaking rhythm. I am not talking just for talking. I am from Maracaibo, I study classical guitar and you are breaking all the sense of this piece. I really agree that you have a good technique, but that's not enough. It is also a shame to argue when you don't have all the knowledge about. Venezuelan valses aren't romantic, they are for dancing even if they tend to sound romantic.

    Regards.

  • As you are Venezualian, you would obviously know more about your native music. I still believe that Lauro wrote these to be listened to, not danced to, and so a little rubato is acceptable. I waltz, and I dance Salsa and Tango. I differenciate between dancing and listening. But I appreciate your point of view, and thank you for your input..

    Gracias
