@basspromike No, I didn't. At the time, it was brand new and pristine. I take it shooting frequently. I tend to use cheaper ammo (for economic reasons) that is dirtier than your typical ammo. After a day of shooting, the revolver gets very very dirty. Some of the soot I just can't get off when I clean it. Otherwise, it shoots like a dream. The action is silky smooth, the trigger is very light and crisp. Extremely accurate. I love this gun. It's a shooter.
hah i love clint eastwood movies.. i don't remember word for word but "IF YOU DON'T LEAVE HER, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A PROBLEM". "WE? WHO's WE?" "ME AND SMITH AND WESSON"? hah classic
I think he was safe, im sure he checked it before he did the vid. But cant reinforce it enough folks, GUN SAFETY!! check and recheck and always keep pointed in a safe direction and finger off the trigger. If you follow those rules you cant have an accident.
nice gun , I have one finished in stainless , been thinking about the rosewood grips bc the factory rubber grips just do nothing for the beauty of the gun.
shouldn't matter if it was loaded or not. its his cannon! accidents dont just happen, we let them happen. loaded or not, he knows the condition of his weapon, its getting a little out of hand that people need to take 30 seconds to clear it with everyone that a weapon is unloaded in "every" video. and if something DID happen, he sure as hell wouldn't put it on youtube. beautiful beautiful .44 man. i wish i had one of my own.
@bobiscool308 wow there buddy calm down, how does a gun fire with no ammo. If the gun is empty who cares he obviously safety checked the weapon before. Ever heard of dry fire practice w/ snap caps ? Easy tiger.
@bobiscool308 he shows you the empty cylinder , no disrespect but did you not see that ? At 0:22 he clearly shows the weapon is unloaded. Give the guy a chance before you assume he is about to put a bunch of holes in his wall or anything else ... its only a 36 second video.
@TheGunsNGearChannel yea i know he safety checked it, but he had his finger on the trigger before he did the dafety check. he had his finger on the trigger from 0:03 to 0:05 but he safety checked it at 0:22
@bobiscool308 I understand where your coming from , if he would of shown the empty cylinder at the beginning he would of saved himself some grief by comments this is understandable .
Its great to see S&W still producing these guns. I'm not big on the safety key or the hammer, but man they still make beautiful accurate to the original design revolvers. Great video! Mean looking revolver. Keep-em coming!
@slt223 I have some old NIB Smiths and some I shoot. I carried a Model 10 in my duty rig for a long time and it had the lock and all that crap that just pissed me off. They're good guns still, but give me one that doesn't insult my intelligence S&W. Yes I can't tie my shoes, but the shortcuts in materials and safety features just make it worse. People who carry and buy guns, one would hope would not need them, but theres a lot of goofballs out there. Litigation control & cost-cuts...grrrr
did you polish it?

question about revolvers. when you spin the chambers what makes them line up with the barrel when you lock them back in place?

@someguyhunter That's a good question. I don't know.

I would've liked to own that kind of gun but it's just too long and heavy to be carried in public without anyone noticing it.
