  • me quedo todo muy claro

  • great stuff - thx for posting. i could never believe liang could lose to kohno - im sure he was told to chuck the match.

  • You don't what you are talking about. Go check who is Mitsuru Kohno. 1st, 2nd and 3rd in 3 WTTC for period of 10 years.

  • derrr. i know very well who kohno is and have seen him play - he was great. however i also know who liang is and the fact that he usually beat kohno comfortably. kohno was not great against chop and liang was a great chopper. the chinese used to constantly throw matches in the individual events around that time hence my scepticism re kohnos win. and btw kohno was not in the top 3 in the world for 10 years but he was vg. liang was no:1 in the world around 1976.

  • Why would Liang at the end of his career throw a semifinal match to a Japanese player-Wouldn't a Guo-Liang final be more adventurous?

  • but you are correct - i dont know what i am talking about. you however clearly do.

  • I saw it live.

Liang gave it away. It was in those "friendship" days!

  • @Blodigeln thanks for confirming Blodigelin - i suspected as much.

  • The matches at this stage were very tatical-Look how Khono cramped up Guo in the finals using sharp angles and speed
