@investmenttechnology you can see the affects of gravity, same with newtons laws etc. Indifference curves have no practical use, they are only a theory. Just because someone says you have an indifference curve between x and y doesn't mean you'll only ever stick to it, due to the irrationality of humans. Hence, the breakdown of neoclassical theory.
Thanks for "debunking" the economics I was taught 20 years ago-- they never made that much sense to me even then.... which is probably why I never went into that field!
