@steinert -- You are right, there is no sound or narration in this raw footage, and that's why if you were paying attention you would have noticed a link pop up at 36 seconds into the video. That link takes you to the finished video, complete with awesome BMW sound, and a woman with a sultry voice who will convince you that you need this bike. ;)
@peckhammer Thank you. Yes, i tested the link.. . there you can hear some sound of the bike - but also less. The woman doesnt stop to explain :-D
I just wanted to hear the bike because i own the 2004 GS with its disturbing sound of a tumbler :-D But now i am not sure if the "new" sound is really so much different that i need a change. I think i can use my old one further.. its quiet good enough ;-)
Guys, I believe u made the BEST video shots for an R1200GS, BMW should pay u big time :). Am a harley owner with a 1200cc nightster bike, to tell u the truth, I fell in love with first sight when saw the R1200GS. Planning to sell the Harley. 1200GS here I come....
Beautifully photographed! Not sure what the point of the video was, but the production values were on a pro level - waaay too good for the "stuff" that makes up the you tube universe.
It reminds me of some movies I've seen lately - technically brilliant, but no story.
@dahveed284 - Thanks for your comments. This vid represents the organizational edits for a review we are doing in collaboration with Altrider. The voice-over is in post production and will be added as soon as it's done. That's the story you are missing.
Altrider is a startup company that makes aftermarket parts (protection) for adventure bikes. They've got a web site, so check 'em out.
Talk about professional work, great job, I also have R 1200 GS 2010 But Black, let me know when the full review comes out can wait to see it. when I saw the video for the first time I felt like getting on my bike right away :) and go out.
@onewheeldrive -- Thanks! We used a Canon XH-A1, with the camera mounted on a Kessler crane for all the parked shots. The road shots were done with a Flip camera mounted on grip hardware I bought at FilmTools; the off-road shots were done with the XH-A1, hand-held.
The bike's AWESOME but i love the HELMET too! where can I get one?

Sorry - nice scenes - but NO sound, only this stupid music... one reason to HEAR the 2010 model is the new sound of the GS.

@MountiZuma -- thanks for the feedback on the video. Very much appreciated!
I've rented GS' when travelling and I love them for touring around California. It's a great do-everything bike.

@MountiZuma The bmw is a great bike, My opinion is the riding position of the BMW is more natural than that of a cruiser.
