You did well to recover at that boss - those yellow balls are usually the end of me too. I need to put some time aside and really go for the 1CC - never made it past the last boss.
Aha! This is the Area I always lose on back then. Never made it to the boss. So that's what it looks like. Looks similar to the Stage 6 Boss of RayStorm.

I always hated this boss. Those two deaths definitely could have been avoided. Not that I'm criticizing. I'm just saying.
