@TheDalk : Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, but some friendly advice... just say you don't like it. Because when you try to pass off your disapproval on technical flaws that aren't (in actuality) present in the music, you just make it clear that you don't know what you're talking about and are trying to blame the artist for what boils down to nothing more than a stylistic preference. This is EXTREMELY talented musicianship, just because you don't like it doesn't deem it crap.
Whole thing will still go on without you Something will still be there to move me Coz my own thing is always to inspire you One that I love I dream beside One that I love I dream beside One that I love is close as I can get The one that I love I dream beside One that I love I dream beside Sometimes I can't remember Sometimes I can't forget Thole thing will still come down without you It's nothing to do with all of you But my own thing is only to protect you
i often wonder about "chance happenings". I stumbled onto this many months ago, and i keep coming back, again and again and again. Amazing song.....gives me peace.
I only wish more people would take Pete's work more seriously. He could be this generation's Zappa. Brilliant man, stunning musician, spectacular artist.
Another evocative piece of music from Peter, containing an inner ambience of spirituality, yearning, and hope.
Peter's music is often a balm against this dis-eased world, spinning through the void, rudderless and aimless, like a nation dispossessed of its culture, it history, its legacy, its purpose.
Will we ever break down the walls of division and separation? If we continue to allow the politicians their own way...the answer is never!
Peter Gabriel rules! My four-year-old daughter sings the refrain, I must have listenened to this in my car way too often :-) and I never tire of it. The drums/percussions, the voice, the rhythm of it, A-W-E-S-O-M-E.
He has become one of my mentors in life. After seeing him at the Forum on the "So" tour and hearing "BIKO" I became interested in Human rights. That flame inside me has been lit ever since. Thank you Peter!!
This album was 15 or so years in the making, and it was well worth the wait. The way Peter Gabriel blends different ethnic/cultural rhythms continues to amaze me, going all the way back to when I saw him at Madison Square Garden in 1986. His distinctive voice, and somewhat (or sometimes) haunting singing style is another one of his skills/talents.
This is such a beautiful song by Peter Gabriel. I've heard it many times and it still has a great effect on me. Peace2U, Alex

Wonderful: Gabriel has that haunting voice. Andy White does a fine solo version of this too.

Peter Gabirel is the master .
The song is just beautiful and haunting.
Please listen to "exit through you" , "Altus Silva" and the new remix of "Burn you up burn you down" from the same album.
It is sad that Peter is not making any promotional video clip for his hits, he doesn't even release them as singles.
I wish I see a change in the course.
