Joining the military, not as bad people think. esp. if you really want to study/make your degree, get an education or what ever. You will have to do all the basic combat stuff thats required. Usually it is doable, and if you can go brainblank and just do as told without question it by your supirior. After thats done, all military branches offer a really wide varity of possibilties. If writing is your thing, join the navy newspaper/editor staff or whatever it is called. Do your degree and done.

If you don't mind the Navy then it might offer you the best possibility to do a job you may enjoy. Also is best possibility for you to follow your dream of going to Japan....You must be sure that you don't need "waivers" to enter. If so, you would most likely be barred from an overseas duty station on your first enlistment. Research "waivers" before you join. With 30 days/year of leave you can always use that time to travel to Japan on your own. Save your money and use your leave wisely.

Hey man I am trying to get into the Navy now as an Officer.

I don't know too much about what the enlists go through exactly, but I will tell you this:

The Navy, unlike some of the other branches, will actually tell you what jobs you qualify for, what the work entails, and they will TRY to get you into that specific field. Also, although you do not get the "space" the Army usually gets with their work, you can be rest assured that I is still pretty damn safe comparatively.

Also, what kind of qualifications do you have exactly? The Navy is in fact probably the most diversified branch in regards to work due to all the roles the Navy plays in the Armed Forces, so you should have some qualifications fulfill some kind of work in the Navy.

Hi Andy-San. I was in the Army and GREW UP from the experience. My bro was in the Navy, and the same thing happened to him. It sounds like the Navy can give you the stability that you are looking for. You can get money for college, and HEY! The Navy is BIG in Japan. I am sure that you can ASK to be stationed in Japan. Internet connections on ships are NOT great from what I've heard, but when you are in port, you can always get connected there. Anyway, the Navy could be your best option!

Please don't take this the wrong way your vids are fine mate. But unless your bizzare like Onision, constantly funny like Smosh, a cute girl or incredibly obnoxious or disliakble like a multitude of peeps out there. The navy is a good idea. Your in a catch 22 situation, no money for college, no college to get a good job. There are great benefits in joining the navy & a wide range of jobs within it, some of which can land you a good job through the training without going to college when & if you decide to leave.

on week 4, our company commander made us a promiss. he said "i promiss you that EVERY ONE OF YOU WILL GO TO MEDICAL FOR EXHASTION" you know what.. HE WAS RIGHT.. each and every one of us, one by one, fell to heat exhastion, and then heat stroke where we passed out. many of us who passed out on the line, fell face first, and broke their noses when they hit. the head bounced like a basket ball. believe it.

booter week 3. ask them what week 3 is all about! lol.. week 3 is the opening week of when all your medical evals get ok'ed.. once that happens, they bring in trainers to CYCLE you for 2 days non-stop to try and break you and make you quit. they bring in so many trainers that there is 1 trainer for 2 booters. we started with 40 booters, by week 4, we had 20.

if you have to join a armed service, its best to pick one that is LAND based. ARMY isant so bad.. Marines go through hell on earth. AIR FORCE is really good. but they all run the same BS. you dont know what it means to be a pee-on until your screwed by the military, because there's nothing you can do about it, except say "thank you sir, may i have more?" or else you go to FEDERAL PRISON. during a time of war, you can be shot on the spot for not following orders.

ALL NAVY PERSONEL ARE REQUIRED TO SERVE ACTIVE SEA DUTY FOR 2 YEARS of your 4 year enllstment.. while on ship, you do 2 jobs. you do a normal 12 hour work day, and you perform watch duty. you get to sleep ONCE every 3 days for 4 hours.. this only because they are required to let you sleep this much. like lack of sleep? people go nutz without sleep. i can go on and on why joining is a BAD IDEA..

FYI - YOU DONT GET ANY COLLAGE BENIFITS UNTIL you serve 4 years active duty, and you pay $400 PER PAYCHECK into it for those 4 years. also THEY must allow you to claim on that GI bill.. which they are not allowing people to do.. ALSO did you know that 90% of the navy enlisted personell are FORCED into service by the court systems.. the homeless get tickets for loitering, the judge says join armed service or be put in jail. all th ose assholes you delt with in school all are already there.
