pretty cool to see everything that was planned but never brought to life...I'm guessing the Roger rabbit was suppose to be what is not the aerosmith ride correct?
actually the reason they didn't build the mount fuji coaster was because a sponsor for the ride was in competition with fuji film at the time so he didn't want to sponsor a ride that shared the name of their completion... I actually read something on wikipedia about theme parks, restaurants, lands, and rides they were going to build
Disney is the most beautiful thing a man and women can make and i will be that way forever i hope someday i can work there as something that make Disney better and better till it cant anymore this was a beautiful thing and if Walt could see he'd say: ''what took you so long'' and i'm one of the biggest fans of Disney when i go its like going back to when i was 3 and i love it so much Disney is what made me today a crazy, loving, creative,silly,singing/dancing/acting, colorful spirited
I vote for a Greek pavilion. In addition to partnering with the country, Disney should talk to AHEPA here in the states, and the funding and ongoing sponsorship could be put together.
Well, Mt Fuji was eventually adapted into Expedition Everest. And the Russian pavilion didn't take off as the Russian economy went downhill fast although there's talk of reviving it.
It happens sometimes like how they were going to do an African pavilion for EPCOT but it fell apart due to lack of funding. But they used the plans for the Africa section of Animal Kingdom. Disney never throws away ideas completely.
I'm wondering why Disney hasn't done anything with Egypt or Greece yet. Both are very rich in their cultures and storytelling. They both seem like perfect candidates for Disney to take on.
Think they need to make a lot of deals with the host countries and they have demands. Sort of why the Spain and Israel pavilons never took hold. Plus, might be concerns over "Disneyfying" stuff like Hercules with Greece or Aladdin stuff with Egypy.
Right. They would have to keep the characters to a minimum. But I think riding a boat through a dark ride of Greek mythology would be a perfect attraction. Keeping it sophisticated and character-less. Egypt would have to keep the culture its main focus. With hieroglyphs and everything. Maybe a thrill coaster... not to copy Universal's Revenge of the Mummy...
@DisneyParkVideos I totally agree with you there. The greek mythology dark ride would be kind of like Spaceship Earth. A thrill coaster would also rock.

Most of those rides were never built because Disney is Cheap, Especially Disney World's Management. It's so sad how they keep building new theme Parks when the ones they already have are lacking rides.
Actually, if this is true, Disney is very smart...You see, guests will be forced to pay more to attend separate parks in order to experience more rides. If everything was in one park, they would make less money.
Even though it makes it more difficult for guests like us, it IS a smart move on behalf of Disney.
Yes, Disney is very smart when it comes to ripping people off. Although what isn't smart is wasting money on a half baked attraction hoping for cowards to show up, only for it to fail (aka, Stitches Supersonic Celebration)
They never put up a Mount Fuji, because the Japanense government cut cost in it's sponsorship of the Japan Pavillion at Epcot. They then later decided to put an Expedition Everest in AK, not wanting to waste a good idea. If they would have put Mt. Fuji in Epcot, they would have never put EE in AK. They will expand on ideas, such as all 4 parks have a 3D movie, It's tough to be a bug=AK, Muppets 3D=Hollywood Studios, Mickeys Philharmagic=MK, and Honey I Shrunk the Audience=Epcot.
I worked For Disney and I have some Very Good Friends That work in EPCOT They would have told me if Disney was Putting In a Rssia Pavillion. Disney Would Never Demolish Norway
@Tendoking In the case of Roger Rabbit, there have been a lot of legal issues surrounding the character. The only thing that came close to this concept (and even then, only in theme and name) might be Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin at Disneyland.
A lot of the great rides did not happen like the roger rabbit and mt. fuji. Although the space pavillion happened along with the splash mtn. The russia pavillion is a rumor spreading around now ;)
A russion pavillion?? That would work. Im not sure about mount Fuji, although world showcase definately needs a shakeup

Hate to rain on all you folks' parade but since Roy Disney died in Dec 2009
Disney World is in very real danger of being sold off & dismantled.
IMPOSSIBLE you say? The entire United States is being SOLD OUT by
the World Bank & banksters who have already STOLEN 20+ TRILLION
dollars and dealt it out to various foreign banks.
EVERY MEMBER of the current administration is a BANKER- Goldman
Sachs, J.P. Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, etc.
WE ARE BEING ROBBED BLIND BY THESE CRIMINALS. WAKE UP!

I wonder, do they still have those roving streetmosphre characters at the Studios?

Welcome to The United States...The World's Greatest Capitalist Nation. If you don't like it...go elsewhere.
I really don't know how you can complain...YOU'RE the one who pays to ride those half-baked rides...
Reality check: Disney is big enough that they don't have to please YOU

The Fuji and Roger Rabbit rides sound great; why aren't they there?
Plus I'd love for the Russia area to finally arrive.
Nothing wrong with Norway, but that "Maelstrom" ride is underwhelming. For a Maelstrom, I'm expecting a whiplash-inducing ride. It was just...meh.
