  • Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.

  • life changing

  • Also you don't need to do anything. From birth, actually even before birth while in the womb attached to placenta you are already connected to everything. There is no need to understand this intellectually or spiritually. You will not succeed and no one will 'succeed' for that matter because this connection is without separation so it cannot be experienced or known through or by any means. You don't need to open your mind. I say forget about the mind it is the source of all troubles.

  • @Josephjoel3 Of course you have to understand the mind...unless suffering/misery is something that you can really deal with without any complains.

  • @nimrodxify Forget about anything I wrote. It's all nonsense. You'll do better to listen to Eckhart Tolle.

  • @Josephjoel3

    hahaha

you have a lot to learn.

  • @Diegomln I have nothing to learn because there is nothing to know or understand. Anything learned is purely for survival and manipulation of the physical world for continuity of this body. It has nothing to do with bettering oneself or becoming 'enlightened.' All of that is pure BUNK. This man just had a strange experience or experiences and he is trusted on that basis. So many people have had those experiences and there is nothing to them.

  • @Josephjoel3 I respect your opinion but i can't say i agree with you, its not about reaching a new state of "enlightenment. all it is is a new consciousness which means your understanding of the world around you; anyone can obtain this new consciousness. once you see your connection with everything and everyone around you that is beyond the physical world we live in, then its impossible to go back, not because you would want to but because its a more enjoyable way of being. just open your mind.

  • @Diegomln I am not being insincere. I am being honest. Why is everyone chasing pleasure or contentedness? WHY? Pleasure always converts to pain. Pleasure is pain. Stop seeking enjoyment and there is no question of pain. Stop seeking enjoyment and there remains no questions at all. Then you will never listen to Eckhart Tolle, me, or anyone else for that matter.

  • Brainwashed, mindless people who have been manipulated by the fake reality we get from mainstream media etc gonna think this guy is crazy. While a spiritual awake person will agree what he says

Knowledge is power, spirit is power. God bless

(No i dont say religion) I just believe in one creator.

  • I tried to be a good christian, go to church, pray, repent my sins but I always felt like crap. I heard about Eckhart and read his books and what he teachs really helps!!! It trulys works. I still believe in God and I truly believe in Eckhart too.

All my love to fellow believersxxx

  • @tonyd7300 look up the billy meier story

  • Check out EMPACT America, Inc.

Subscribe...... Interesting data that backs up information about EMP attacks on homeland, as well as natural phenomena, such as solar flares described in December 2012 predictions. IT'S A VERY REAL LOOK AT WHAT SPIRITUAL PEOPLE TALK ABOUT, ALSO A VERY REAL LOOK AT WHAT REALISTIC PATRIOTS ARE TRYING TO AVOID.. This is an attempt to educate and spread the facts. It's almost like everybody sat down and put out the best arguments together...

  • What does he mean by "the now is not what happens, it's the SPACE in which it happens"

  • @Kiddope187 I think he means that what happens ("events") are just forms that have no lasting substance. The space in that things happen (= the present moment / the pure consciousness) is formless and therefore timeless.

  • I'm afraid u guys are being misled by his ideas. as pleasant as it may seem, d truth is being distorted by his philosophy, Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father but through Him. The reason God sent His begotten son to die on the cross is so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have everlasting life. If we believe in Eckhart's philosophy, we are dismissing the mere essence of why Jesus has to die on the cross. Jesus is the ONLY way.

  • @zhian23 Tolle has no "philosophy", he merely tells people to open up instead of losing themselves in their thoughts. God (Love) allows everything to exist, and all that seperates us from God is our "sins" = our "sundering" state of consciousness that lets us put the world of forms over God, the formless and absolute. Jesus powerfully demonstrated that truth by "sacrificing" his earthly form out of love. Tolle tells us to be aware of that truth. No misleading I can detect there.

  • one thing inlike about him is hes so down to earth lol, even if he doeosnt feel like smiling he doesnt just because he thinks that what people may expect even when he walks on stage, and hes one of the few humble men ive met in my life, the others were a preist and a pastor

  • Visit no-self.com

  • @CrispyTurkey Nice man, that site is basically what Eckhart tells us but, helped me because it's very well explained ;)

  • I'm sooooooo ready I'm so sick of inner torture I just want peace peacccccccce I live around fucking idiots it's hard not to join them in there madness but I'm not I will walk alone I will do the right thing

  • @jazzaste123 I know what you mean. It is what it is. People will be what they will be. Many times, people think they are their thoughts. But remember the core concept of Eckhart's teachings my friend, "you are not your mind". The more you remember that and stay awake for life, the easier it will be.

Find some way to surround yourself with powerful people. Add hardworking, passionate open minded people on facebook, youtube, and so on. In this case, a little personal segregation is good.

  • @pathsounds Hey brother thank u for your kind wise words of course your right thank u brother love bless u and your loved ones peace over and out

  • Hi friends...I just want to mention that I read his books and they are very informative and contain very easy concepts anyone can learn and apply in theirs lives. The only thing I personally found extremely helpful was applying love within yourself using his knowledge then it becomes wisdom for everyone to experience.

  • @trakomako YOUR A FUCKIN DUMBASS.ONLY PEOPLE WITH NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AND PEOPLE WHO DONT BELEIVE WILL HAVE BEEN MISGUIDED BY THEMSELVES.AND ITS NOT PLAYING WITH YOUR COUNCISNES YOU FOOL,HES TEACHING US TO HARNESS THE POWERS THAT EVRY HUMAN BEING HAS.YOUR A MYSTIC MY ASS.WHAT KIND OF MYSTIC SAYS "DUDE"?A PHONY ONE,THATS WHO.may you find the way my lost brother.

  • @trakomako You should check out Shinzen - here on youtube. He is a much more advanced teacher than Toll - I think. He is a trained Zen monk before anything else. He advises people not to do such practice alone. If you experience problems from the self, then you should speak to somebody who is an expert - and probably not a conventional psychiatrist either - many of those have no solutions, just talking talking talking. You probably need someone like Shinzen - and he is available in the US.

  • @T1Brit FUK THAT SHIT.

  • @trakomako I think you are talking about the dangers of doing a lot of meditation for somebody that has a mental health issue. That is very true - all responsible teachers do warn people not to spend a lot of time focusing the mind if the mind is not well. But that is a separate problem with solutions of it's own. I have not seen Toll suggesting advanced meditation - but maybe he does. If he does do so then he ought to mention the danger you speak of - true enough.

  • @trakomako Telling people to live in the now and be aware of the greatness of being alive in this moment is hardly likely to drive them mad. He is teaching simple awareness of the here and now - it is not some crackpot regime of mind-exercises - And I beg to differ about years and years of training. That may be true for some - but some people are just waiting to be given permission to stop being so miserable - he is trying to help people to let go of their pain - you might want to listen,

  • @trakomako People like you get so nasty towards people like Tolle because when you are listening to it - it does start to reach you in a very deep place and you find yourself responding to it - and you are shit scared of that - shit scared that you are a fag yourself - shit scared that maybe somebody loves you after all - shit scared that you might start crying and reveal the weak little pussy inside.

But all that crap is going in your head only, and nobody else gives a damn about it.

  • Every time I watch this man my attitude improves drastically !

  • instead of just giving things "attention" try "compassion", even with so-called inanimate objects. be compassionate with an inanimate object and you will discover a whole new aliveness.

  • So if i dont agree with Tolle, im suffering and in pain. Now thats a catch 22 aint it. This is the kind of black and white thinking that makes a sect, complete with a leader, rules and followers. Tolle has the truth, and if you dont agree, youre a sick individual. "Oh boy, i better listen to Tolle, because i dont want to be suffering." Its like Bush saying "Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists". "Oh boy, then ill better be with "us", cause i dont wanna be a terrorist".

  • echhart is a sham. a fake. a hypocrite.

  • @py3design Keep suffering, my friend. It's never too late to wake up though...

  • @py3design eckhart obviously touched a nerve

  • much love to Tolle

  • To become Nowness and Spaciousness within a Spiritual Awakening and exist as Being and Beingness instead of False Egoic Identity is really where a significant minority of Humans are moving towards, where money, finance, material wealth, consumer spending and consumer goods are not the primary, collectivized focusing of Humanity, but existing without Egoic Thinking within Thoughtless Awareness.

  • hola, i am isabel from argentina, does somebody knows where can i read the whole conference "Spiritual Awakening in Daily Life"? muchas gracias! isabel

  • @isabelmackinlay hey isabel, you can buy it online on his website, or maybe at your book store?, i read the power of now and found it is easier to understand at first.peace.

  • just another new age freak...

  • @Meathead36 Yaaaah! Just anuvva new age fweeeeak!! Heeeeh ehhe! YAAAH! What a hippy! Let's carry on not thinking about anything. It's much better. I might go and drink a lite beer and stick my thumb up my rear end.

  • I respect this mans words and teachings, YET i can't get into this or other of his videos because i can not take listening to his voice. I prefer to read his words.

  • Don't wake up, just surrender to nature

  • ommmmmm

  • I think Bruce Willis summed it up in his recent movie... When asked by his partner why he smacked him he said "I was in the Now, and the Now said to smack you!"

In fact, NOW is NOT the essence of spirituality. It is just one facet of awakening or awareness. And if taken out of context and flogged endlessly as "the answer," it is a misleading, dead end path. Psychotics are also in "the moment" and completely fractured from past or future. There are similarities here...

  • but what about the millions of people who don't suffer much? who are simply happy with their lives and relationships and their past and their jobs and whatever else? they live pretty happy lives... without any spiritual teaching and without ever reading eckhart tolle.

i don't like the supposition that EVERYONE is suffering and unhappy all the time. i think lot of people are actually QUITE HAPPY WITH THEIR LIVES, odd as it might sound.

just not the people seeking out these videos, i guess.

  • @fiveandnine - its impossible, they are telling themselves they are ok, in denial, they may think thats the way life is according to the brain washing techniques and social cultural programming.. but they are not really happy, or fulfilled.. we are spiritual beings and without spirituality nothing makes sense, there is no real purpose, the people you speak of are the living dead.

  • @SovereignBeing

the living dead? sounds a bit harsh.

i'm not sure it's appropriate to comment on the inner states of others, to judge if they are happy or not happy.

i know athiests who are extremely kind, loving, joyful and compassionate.

  • @fiveandnine - a borg/zombies race is exactly what the govt want to create..

these ppl live in total denial, their acquiescence is compliance, they no longer wish to have a voice.if they do its to speak against original thought.

this subservience appalls me ! its nothing to do with believing in God, its a case of morality..this is not a judgement it is an observation!.

Govt r terrorists, genocidal maniacs, practicing ritual sacrifice on a daily basis to their god satan. seems like no one cares!

  • @fiveandnine

If you look closer, you wlll see that most people are very connected to their pain.

They might seem happy on the outside. Why settle for a pretty happy life, when you can have it all, right now?

  • being right is so wrong.learn to be wrong(humility?)and you will be right.

  • I'm making shifts everyday without bashing my ego or thought process. Thanks Tolle, for repackaging the age old lines we've all already heard. I'm quite friendly with "this moment", and if it is all there is, it is a VERY long moment. And that is something we have things to do with, not just your oversimplifications, sir. Oh, and NICE SWEATERS.

  • I've been spiritually awakening this past year... still have a long way to go, all I can say is wow, I have nothing to say.

  • By any extension of mainstream psychotherapy and pharmaceuticals, this man had a nervous break down and is now by definition mentally ill. In fact, he is completely right in everything he says, and the picture of health. Just wanted to point out how sick in the head mainstream science is regarding mental health. He might have been drugged and put away in another circumstance as he was breaking through the illusion. Thankfully he's teaching millions today about the truth.

  • GOD, do these speeches piss me off. so by this man's rationale, i could beat the shit out of him, and it would be ok, because he is just living in the moment, right?? I mean, sure he would feel physical pain, but the fact that his mind was in the present would be powerful enough to combat any physical pain whatsoever.. right?? I want some debating here

  • you don't get the point. you just want to rant about this don't you?

  • @krissi9316 ranting is always fun, but please, try and help me get the point.

  • @betthisonesfree the point is you're creating your own pain and suffering. The desire to "beat the shit of him" is a personal problem that causes you untold pain and even more suffering. Your desire to "debate" is just the ego wanting to feed it's craving for attention and the need to be right. Pain is inevitable for most, suffering is indeed optional. There's nothing to debate. Your pain is evident to most of us - let me help you get past your suffering so you can see the light of truth.

  • @kansasisaband well that is really very kind of you, but I would rather feel pain and suffering and the roughness of life along with the happiness of life than feel one feeling (peace) for the rest of my life. have you ever felt this "inner peace" that is all the rage nowadays?

  • @betthisonesfree It's quite an interesting realization when you do "feel" the inner peace. Have you seen Jim Carrey's YTVideo describing it? It's on my channel and it's quite profound. We all choose in this free will world and I respect your choice to be in pain and suffer. The "funny" thing is that you don't feel "peace" for the rest of your life, you just don't CREATE more suffering than is necessary. :-)

  • @betthisonesfree - its called balance... the task is to balance the 'good 'and the 'bad' experience, if you want to transcend the drama or the 'peace' and 'bliss', which is also not an achievable state for very long.. for every -1 you must then create a +1 ... eventually u prefer to stay at 0 and be neutral...

  • What's great about this guy is not only what he has to say, but how he says it. He's a great speaker and teacher I think. He has a way of talking to push understanding, rather than a lot of speakers that talk simply to talk. It's evident that he cares about what he's saying and wants others to share his wisdom with. I sound crazy talking like this, but man, it's simple and it's true. A little awareness of presence can change a lot in a persons' life.

  • I'm ready

  • but can the space be felt directly? or is it only implied by an awareness of the totality of its objects? or is it neither of these things.. perhaps i'm over-thinking this!

  • @belly0like0buddha space can be felt and directly is the only way it is experienced. it is like the space between the notes in a song.

we tend to listen to the sound of the notes as it is the music, but the silence in between is just as important to make music.

in a similar way we tend to look at a room. we see a chair, table and a bed, but we don't see the space itself and that is where it all happens.

    and it happens only Now

  • but does the emptiness not also permeate the note itself? it seems like without nothingness it would be impossible to conceive of thingness. nothingness serves as a backdrop for which to contrast things against, thereby bringing them into existence. Just like if white were all one knew one would not know of whiteness, not until black, or another color entered the picture. That which is is defined by that which it is not.

i could be way off though..

  • jeje :) sounds like over thinking :) the space is not really empty, it is for lack of a better word: Love-peace. you can say that the transparent space between you and a chair is fully at peace right, id does not ask, it only provides for things to exist. that is love. feel the love!

  • @Santisantiago i agree that any space in the physical world is not really empty, but i think that this kind of space can still point to a deeper, truer emptiness. its as if consciousness is a stage and the things that one is conscious of are actors on the stage, so if we pay attention to consciousness itself, we attend to something other than the things that pass through it, or in other words nothingness, or emptiness, which is of course what we really are.

  • yeap :)

  • I think we mean the same.

  • @Santisantiago i'm glad that we are in fact on the same page! its interesting how words can create an illusory disagreement when none in fact exists. it seems that discussions of spirituality suffer even more from this, in that its never about the words, its about what the words are pointing at, and perhaps for some people certain words point better than others. cont...

  • ... so what i call being, you call non-doing and what i call love, you call nothingness and what i call emptiness, you call space but really they all mean the same thing, its just that meaning always occurs in the context of the 'meaner.

  • *nspeert* yes, and you can see the same thing happening with Religions, though they dont realize it.. they too are all on the same page. I am allways more interested in fully understanding what the other person wants to say than finding differences...,

  • ...u know what I mean? we are all expressing the same thing using different terms and ideas. "its about what the words are pointing at" and then on, what that persons actions point at. words can be perfectly pointing at the truth, so on the mental you got it but what about action? in his action you find the true master. its about relaxing into being who we already are, having no problem with who we are.

  • So How Do We Speed the Evolutionary Rate of Conflict Resolution

  • So no more need to know. Righ. No more time. Check. So then why have temporal subscription fee-based to sell more knowledge? Great begining, shallow follow-up. Just proves one can't escape the system, as it will always find a way to absorb any threats it may enconter.

  • @phobik2000 cause their' still people buying that shit

  • im always amazed at how simple it is to be present, and the enormous power that is in that simplicity.

  • @goingbeyondform simple in idea, nota always wasy in practise, but practise often and it becomes easy

  • @goingbeyondform yes it is simple, but it is not "easy". Otherwise everyone would be present. It takes what it takes to do it.

  • The message is the same Eckhart,Osho,Lao Tze..There is only one truth, there is only one man in essence, but divided by our minds. Mind needs to understand, mind needs to be filled with concepts and information. Singularity is one concept. It is the concept that allow us to experiment life as a part of a whole, as a part of what it is... Mind tends to identify itself with itself and usually it also tends to belive theres only mind. But we are not mind, we are a part of what it is with also a mind

  • copy of osho

  • genius

  • How ironic

    that advert

and his speech (which was pure gold)

    x-)

  • beautiful!!

  • Beautifully said, Eckhart.

  • its in the laugh, hear the laugh and the talk is secondary.

  • Ram Dass and Osho have the same laugh, the knowing laugh of the self realised.

    ;-)

  • Master Ping Zhen Cheng, my gung fu master had the exact same laugh. I believe you're right, I think it's an enlightenment thing.

  • The laugh of the enlightened comes from the same place inside each.

  • Its time for the world to wake up...

  • What does that mean?

  • This

  • @UltimateInvestor well its been time for a long time, we are so fucking sloww lol

  • @UltimateInvestor It is... :)
