My God, LOOK at that action! I want one I want one! And all you sooks who cant cope with a horse being a horse, have a look at the European Friesians Champs, or any Arab show, a halter class is for a horse to EXPLODE and really show what it can do .
ashamed? why on earth would you be ashamed, these are top class animals at the top level, if you even place here then in the welsh world its better that HOYS! i love watching the D stallions, theyre stunning, i love how they show off and go crazy, its a shame if they don't show their trot off to their full potential, but still amazing to watch. the amount of feed and oats these lot have had must of cost a fortune, not to mention the amount of time they've been in the stable and not seen outside
hi, i have always wanted a section d colt and i now have one!
As i was watching this video i was thinking that the hole point of showing a D stallion is for the buzz and the excitement please correct me if i am wrong!
well, think about it peeps, put a lot of stallions withgin a close proximity of each other with several mares in the rings closeby, i imagine there would be a power struggle!
can i just ask something! are all the peepz that say they would be ashamed to show their stallion if they acted like that english? cos if u were welsh then u would know that thats how stallion, proper welsh cob stallions should act in the showring! theyr ment to have presence and that spark about them! and its always been like that in the royal welsh, its good for the crowd to get invloved! the stallions love it and us welsh are very proud of it!
Excellent! And anyone who knows the world of Welsh showing knows the point is the look of the horse, in its most natural state, behavior doesnt come into it - the more lively the stallion the better the show; these are the real horse people
get onnn i couldnt agree more :D they're hardy and dont need rugging and conditioning etc unlike the arabs. So much more hardy :) they do have beautiful heads tho lol x
Electric atmosphere fantastic show , always highlight of the show in my opinion , my credit goes to the handlers with these stallions in such a spectacular event like this , after all pepole flock here just to see these fantastic cobs in action.
Royal welsh show is THE place to see the best cobs in Wales if not in the world! You cant tell the crowd to be quiet!! the horses love it.... when the ridden stallions are galloping in front of the seating it is just the best!! People come from all over the world to see these cobs!! Dont speak about your horse behaving like this you would be ashamed... You would be honoured to run with these men and women with their stallions!!
These horses have a LOT of presence so of course they wont merrily trot up like some all chilled out! They are BIG cobs with BIG presence! I have a gelding, and jeezus you'd think he was a stallion. I agree the crowd could definately be quieter though!
It's the applause that spooked them & you have to remember that these are young horses-this maybe the biggest show theyve had to deal with. I think they stood very calmy & trotted up well once they had settled. Stunning ponies!
BEAUTIFUL horses, but I would be ashamed if my horse behaved like many of those.. The horse being a stallion is not an excuse. But beatiful animals no matter what!
this is stallions ppl, we got two at the farm where i work, and sure, they are most of the time good as gold, but i know how they can react. and by the way, theres ppl everywhere who does their best to makes the Royal Welsh as non-dangerous a possible.
look, have you've ever been to the Royal Welsh? Stallions have ALWAYS been acting like that at the Royal Welsh, its big and theres looooooaaaads of ppl. and now they won and everything they are bound to get exited and bouncy. I'm amazed over the women and men who run with this creatures of beauty and power.

yeah i agree, stallions are just like that
too much testosterone, we have a welsh c/d (somewhere in between) who is a big boy, gelded but ud never know

The horse is taking over the lead, it´s tensed and there is just to much going on.
Calm the horse down first and tell the crowd to be silent.
It is alot more comfortable for horse and human.

I would be ashamed to show my stalion if he behaved like that...
