Hmm I tried the PC demo a couple of days ago. Can't say I'm a fan of this sorta control system. At this day and age you shouldn't have to manually rotate the camera every time you decide to walk a different direction. It's been years since I found myself walking against obstacles...

Not intending to buy it until I see its networking options.

Chris Taylor cannot make proper networking code even if his life depended on it, Supreme Commander series had poor issues with the peer to peer model that required all to have fast computers, otherwise it would bog down to a halt.

DS1 and 2 had issues with connecting and working properly over LAN, something tells me DS3 will also be a disaster in the networking department.

Heck, i play it on 64 bit machine now and still working without ANY problems... this game ( i think the title is Dungeon Siege 3 ) is not even REMOTELY the DS franchise. period.

@choodomoodo Try having 2 connections, I have a VPN and 2 more connections for my Virtual machines and Dungeon Siege says "Nickname in use" because it stumbles across its OWN call.

To get past that glitch you have to use a program named "Forcebindip" but past that there are other major holes in the networking code, it is not built properly and this has plagued EVERY game Chris Taylor have worked on, NO exceptions.

@choodomoodo Well it is a LAN, Taylor didn't think there could be more network cards both virtual and physical in the same system or he didn't bother, whatever his reason.

This is part of the reason it fails, so it is a LAN with Local Area Network.

Just that in the case of a VPN the physical distance is higher, but that doesn't matter to software.

I've been playing this game for a few days, and at first I disappointed with the lack of a full size map, the way the world is like "tunnels", ect. Then something happened, something clicked. I started having fun, challenging fun. The combat is AWESOME. And the controls are nice. This game is really a carefree hack and slash, and once you get over that, the game is TONS of fun. Each of the four characters you can choose from have nice attacks. Thinking of actually buying this 1

Was massively disappointing for me. The first dungeon siege was actually my first proper game.

What really pissed me off with this is it had no customization, not in the character, not really merging at all types, you couldn't... create your own hero like you could in the first.

In the first you didn't even have to specialize!

The story's bland and the world didn't feel as expansive.

I thought the graphics were a nice step up, but they could've done a whole lot better with the whole thing.

I myself played the demo of DS3 and I agree that it was "Meh". I never played 1 and 2 but my husband has. I got annoyed at all of the cutscenes myself but I guess it was all needed. Darn you Simon. You should have did the male. LOL. I did the normal mode and the female. The camera and movement controls annoyed me but I always have issues with those things. Haha.

the Baldur's Gate games actually are an exception to the rule... but they have awesome narrative and production value. Diablo 2 was like "alright.. lets just mash together concepts we plan on implementing in WoW and see how they're received by consumers across a medium we have already proven to be successful (ie. safe). Comparatively to Diablo 1 imo, D2 was rubbish.

I LOVED the first 2 dungeon siege. I played the demo of this third game. First of all it was clearly developped with consoles in mind, as it plays horribly on the mouse-keyboard setting. The presentation is also atrocious (especially the audio). Even the story seems lame. I can't even find a redeeming quality for this game...
