  • Thanks for loading the video. My favourite series of all time. Personally I hope they don't make any more - the Geordie lads did the full circle by heading back out to Germany. Finish on a high - not like only fools and horses - made too many and ended up being shit.

  • @1111antarctica Yes I totaly agree. I used to love 'Only Fools & Horses' until Del met Raquel. Then it turned into 'My Family.

  • great clips guys ive been to alot of the locations myself like the barley mow , thornley manor , bingham and bottesford and the nottingham locations the only place i can see you havent been to is the kegworth turnoff where oz and dennis go to fix barrys house fantastic video

  • @gazmini81 That's right. I couldn't find the exact location at the time so we skipped it. Then months later, I found it on Google Street View. Thanks for watching.

  • its like going down memory lane-great to see this as auf pet is my favourite ever tv series! it was brilliant.

  • @blueparrot989 Thanks:)

  • cracking video lads,

me and my mate are planning a trip from newcastle to nottinghamshire to see all these places, i have most of the locations but the one i haven't got is obviously barry's house. i understand your reasoning for not making it public but is there any chance you could send me the street name privately?? we are massive fans and would totally respect the privacy of the current residents. i understand if you don't want to tell me but it's worth a try.

  • Fantastic stuff. I love learning about locations and behind the scenes stuff, and you have made an excellent film. Nice one.

  • @SpiralFirst Cheers. Pleased you enjoyed it:)

  • That was great to watch, I always wanted to know the addresses so I could go onto google earth and see how they look now. What was the beep in for at the start where he gets out of the car and says what street he was in?

  • @gary72carol61 Thanks for watching. I added a 'beep' because I wanted to respect the privacy of the present residence.

  • Really enjoyed this lads. Thanks so much

  • @mbrooks1976 Cheers mate:)

  • Great video i love auf weidersehen pet and live in eastwood near the new white bull, one of the few memories i have of my grandad is that he is in the scene at the petrol station on nuthall road

  • @Uponthetrent That's brilliant to have your grandad in the scene. Could you describe him so I can check him out?

  • I saw Tim Spall in Llandudno Junction railway station a few months ago.....Bloody nice chap for a cockney ;)

  • Wow that was fantastic! Thanks very much for that. I was fascinated and always wondered about the locations myself. :)

  • @BonJ2211 Thank you very much:)

  • FINALLY I DID IT!!--just got back from my mini--aufpet trip to "Thornley Manor" and "The Barley mow"--Had lunch in the Windmill, I was surprised at how little they make of the fact that aufpet was filmed there, apart from a few photos on the wall by the toilet, you wouldn't know.--if that was my pub, i would re-name it the BARLEY mow and sell things like "Barry Burgers","oz Chips" Bomber Bangers" and "Moxey Mash"---still a great day out and an ambition achieved.

  • @bullysgod haha good one! That would be pretty good to see. You would need some drink names too. How about: "Barry's Penis Colada" "Bomber's Bitter" "Dennis' Draft" What songs will be listed on the jukebox? "If We Make It Through December" "Okie from Muskogee" Perhaps a song for Neville: "Destiny's Child"

  • living in Lincoln and being a massive fan, i knew where all the locations were apart from the River scene. Thanks for that. I regularly drive up the A616 and glance over at Thornley M... i mean Besthorpe Hall

  • @roaduser Thanks for watching;)

  • Just watched your 2008 version - I was amazed to find that the Barley Mow was really filmed inside of the pub, I was told that the inside scenes with Pringle were filmed in a studio!

This is the best documentry I've ever watched, seriously! I want to come with you next time you go, lol! Excellent job lads.

  • @HennoGarvey Thanks for the great compliment. We had a chat with the barman and he pointed out which parts of the interior had later changed since the filming - lounge is almost unrecognisable I thought. He explained why part of the floor in the bar area was later raised (to make their ceiling appear lower like an old pub). Yet it wasn't until after I entered the bar area and looked back when I realised that I really was in Pringle's pub. Then the barman offered me crisps or that sandwich.

  • Once again fantastic work fellas. I'm going to have to get myself down to the east midlands this summer.

Having a pint in The Barley Mow is on my bucket list

  • @casprol Thanks very much. Have a good trip:-)

  • Well I am sure you could get in contact with my friend and ask the question if you like, I wonder why they stopped they complete series at the last one a few years ago, I was only a baby when the few 1st series came out and Id love to see them all again

  • Nice one lads, it's funny all this recording as my best friends uncle is moxey, as he's related to the panek family, be great if you could film and catch up with the auf cast themselves, I'd love to have a tour with you lads and visit the old locations

  • @UNKPotshot69er Well if I ever did get the chance to film and catch up with the Aufpet cast, it will only be possible if the BBC commissioned a new series of the Jim'll Fix It show - then I'll probably do a poor job as I will be too starstruck to ask questions. Must be interesting to have a mate's uncle who's Christopher Fairbank. There's always been one question I wanted to ask him: Did he choose to lose the stutter for series 2? Or did the writers forget to put it in the script?

  • @AUFPET1 Moxey would say: "That's two questions?" haha like the character actually said in the episode 'The Lovers' in series one.

  • AWP is my favourite series of all-time!

Excellent work on the video guys. Really interesting stuff!

  • @murrayvwhite Cheers!

  • The trout scene you was fantastic, would of like to hear Oz say "next time divent stand there like a pehrified matador" Put my name down for Germay. Keep up the great vids guys.

  • @ski442 Thanks very much! We had a good laugh filming the trout scene; we were quite fortunate that Steve Howard just happened to turn up wearing shorts or we would never of persuaded him to get into that stream. Incidentally, it was the very first scene we filmed. Meeting Steve Howard with the handshake was the last thing we filmed.

  • didn't you boys do a video a few years ago? I think i remember seeing one you did around 2007. I made a little pilgramage to some of the locations a few years ago mysefl but i'm from Leicester, (so only just up the road for me! I admire your commitment! Well done..this is another good post

  • @DavidColumbia Thanks for the kind comment. We did make our first location video back in Summer 2008. It is still on our Youtube channel.

  • Excellent video, it was very enjoyable.

  • @mmaconachie Cheers

  • top job fellas.

what are the chances of Paul Armstrong reviving his fantastic AWP site? I'd be happy to help....

    you off to germany next?

look fwd to seeing more clips

  • @ArthurLager1 Pleased you enjoyed the video. We might make another one this year. Perhaps add some Newcastle Locations. Germany? I'll leave that for someone else haha.

  • tip-top job fellas. watched it a few times now, and really appreciate the work you've done.....

shame paul armstrong's website hasn't been updated for donkey's......

maybe it's time for a revival. i'd happily give him a hand.

have a look at the 'Sabotage Times' website - there's a AWP piece.

time you went to germany eh?

    again, great work lads.

  • @ArthurLager1 Sorry, just found your comment. Thanks for watching mate. I'll check out that website. Very soon I will be uploading a video of when we were invited inside Beesthorpe Hall and back garden that we filmed back in 2007. It was our first visit at the time. Couldn't upload it in the past because we filmed it using a chunky old-fashioned 1980s VHS video camera - that I made Stephen carry while I pretended I didn't know him. So please watch this space.

  • You guys took it to the next level. You must have done some great detective work there. It's nice that you guys keep the Auf Pet vibe alive. A cult programme with a dedicated set of fans who like to reminisce and remember those days. I first saw it when I was about 11 and have revisited the DVD's. Have you noticed the fart sound at 01:43 on this when Dagmar shakes hands with Vera?

Auf Wiedersehen Pet - Love and other 4 letter words (5of5)

When is the trip to Dusseldorf /Hamburg on ... 2011?

  • @Majamacoco Thanks for watching. I checked out the link and it does appear that Vera did drop one while shaking hands with the lovely Dagmar. Well spotted - I'm quite surprised I didn't notice it before.

  • well done lads :-)

  • @MrBriano1972 Thanks.

  • love it

  • @shirleypollard09 Cheers!
